Got stuck behind a 5 some and a foursome. Was asked if I wanted to join the 4 some but neglected to do so. As I sat back waiting while they teed off, 2 of the fellas were hitting multiple balls on their t-shots. I’m thinking it’s way too hot to be doing this and meanwhile the carts are backing up behind me. One guy said it’s the 5 some that is causing the slow pace of play. It’s them. On the first par 5 the 5 some were walking off the green as these guys were just teeing off. When I got to the 10th hole the 5 some were just teeing off. It was going on 3 hours and I still had to play the back nine. I thought for minute and decided to turn the cart around and call it a day. This was my second time playing and I’ve yet to see a Marshall riding around and asking golfers, especially 5 somes, to speed things up. I’ll probably be back but might have to book a later tee time.

The greens were as good as you’ll find anywhere. Sand in decent shape, fairways ok. However, the rest of the course was overgrown rough, badly or unmoved tee boxes, kind of just shabby all around. Lost several balls in the high rough right off the fairway.

3 stars at best. Greens are their saving grace. They’re in great shape. But not much else good things to say. Tee boxes are terrible. Extremely sloped and patchy, bunch of dirt. If you play the tips or yellow/red they’re probably in better shape. Tons of patches, weeds, and hazards in the fairways. Bunkers are bad. Rough isn’t any kind of actual rough, it’s just overgrown lawn grass. Centipede or St Augustine. Fringes are okay, but some have a good amount of weeds. Water on almost every single hole, so you may lose some balls if you can’t keep it in the fairway.

Just not worth the $50. Hot deals has some tee times for $25, and I would say that’s pretty fair. All in all, just not a great course.

Best condition in 15 years. greens rolled 9-9.5 on stim and true roll. they were tournament ready. Fairways firm but had plenty of grass turf to hit any shot. Rough was great at 2.5 inches and made it truly rough. All tee boxes [even par 3] good to excellent. Needs rain soon . Starting to show dry spots.
