Bayou Oaks City Park North Course

About
Golf has been played at City Park since 1902 when the nine-hole New Orleans Golf Club opened. At the time it was one of only 80 golf courses in the country. There were four 18-hole courses at the complex before it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The North Course was rebuilt in 2009 and now there is also a 36-hole mini-golf complex. The course is just over 5,400 yards from the back tees and features water on eight holes. Proper club selection is the key to scoring well on this layout. The golf course is popular among both locals and visitors because it's not only player friendly enough to accommodate all skill levels but its location is also easily accessible from anywhere in New Orleans. The affordable rates make it even more appealing and there's also a 74-stall driving range.

Reviews
Best deal around.
You can walk 18 holes for under $10. Course is well kept with minimal hazards.
North Course
The course is in pretty good shape. Greens are nice. There was a Large amount of standing water on the fairway and in the traps. The problem I had was the price given on tee off was for walking! I didn't even notice it. I have Never seen a price that didn't include a cart..Not as good of a deal when this is figured in.
Solid front 9 accompanied by a top quality staff.
The course was great. The staff even better. Very welcoming to a group for a bachelor party. They were patient, courteous, friendly and professional. I would recommend this course to anyone wanting a nice easy going course, friendly staff, and looking for a good time.
Great value
Awesome to just get out on the course for cheap. However, I think this course is more difficult than it gets credit for. Some incredibly tight driving holes due to the oak trees. If you miss a fairway you are more than likely punching out. I am a 9 and this course has my number.
The staff at this course has done a TREMENDOUS job on this course. It's come A LONG way. The greens are very nice and the fairways are nice. The price is right for this course
Good deal
Walked with a buddy after work. Got a good sweat, greens were very spotty but that's what you get when you pay 13 bones. Really short course. only one par 5.
Greens Need Help
This course is a great value . The course isn’t a top course but the greens are holding it back from being a very good course . I get it’s still early in the year , but anyone who knows this course knows that this is as good as the greens are at their best. I will definitely continue to play here on a weekly basis . Just hoping for some slight improvement in the green area.
Great deal
Great value for the price . Just wish they had a cart girl with some drinks or snacks .
Greens were somewhat inconsistent …greens were slower than I like.. fairways needed mowed… sand traps were great.. great value overall
Good value track
Great value for a public course. Don’t expect too many challenging holes or ones that test your length off the tee. Not many hazards so it’s great for the beginner or the casual golfer. They have water coolers in the course that are always filled and a food and beverage cart that drives on the course.
The greens could be kept up better, but I’d say they are average for a heavily used public course.
