Let It Fly
What a blast! I am a long hitter, consistently between 300-350, every yard was necessary. Played the Tips, so worth it. 8100 yards and a links-esque style. Great for a challenge. Awesome membership deals. A lot of fun. It's a must for good golfers.
A good time
The course was in great shape, there were some areas that were ground under repair but that is to be expected. The fairways are wide and well watered not dry at all, the greens were firm and challenging. The only thing that was not outstanding was there was not enough drinkable water to keep hydrated and several of the coolers were not filled, for a hot day like it was. They should have had maintenance replace the coolers though out the day, or have at least had a cart girl out on the course. But this would not prevent me or my buddies to not play the course again
Mostly great day of golf
My girlfriend and I played this course on Fathers Day. The course itself was in good condition, but there was a strong odor on holes 1 and 10 from the waste pool next to the clubhouse. The odor was bad enough that we strongly considered not playing. Except for the odor, we felt that we got good value for our money.
Difficult course to play for an amatuer
Very difficult course. Great condition! Nice friendly staff. Lots of bunkers! But I eagled #15!
Better experiences elsewhere
The course is fair and fun except for a 4-hole stretch called "The Gauntlet", holes 9 thru 12 I believe. This was reason enough not to play here again. Add to that the rough course conditions, and golfers beware!
On a positive note, the greens were in much better shape than the rest of the course. Putts rolled nicely, although VERY slowly.
Not quite ready yet
The course looked liked it was still in the winter. The greens still in poor shape and have too much sand on them. I like the course, but will not be back for at least a month or so to see if it improves.
New flavor of winter golf
First I have to say that the great rate for 18 holes made it appear to be worth driving from Denver to play. Second the staff did tell us it was temporary greens when we arrived (their definition of temporary greens was the issue) Third it doesn't specify on the website that they have moved the green back 60-160 yards from the real green.
Playing 18 holes without a real cup to putt into isn't golf in my opinion. a red circle with a flag in it isn't golf.
Based on course condition an the bad taste this left in my mouth I won't bother to drive down in summer to play as it just isn't worth the price.
Harder than she looks
Lots of hidden dangers on this beautiful course, must place your ball on almost all shots with very limited margin for errors.
understaffed and unfriendly!
Mi the wayddle of August, Saturday afternoon, full course, and only 2 employees to try to take care of everybody. No marshall on a Saturday afternoon to help pace of play led to a fight on the course after someone got hit into on the green. A flat tire on our cart (bald tire, cord showing through) led to a 45 minute wait and 2 phone calls to get someone out with another cart at which time they tried to figure out some way to make me pay for it! no drink Cart, rude employees and seriously understaffed. By the way, I live on this course and I'll never go back.
Antler Creek Golf Course
Lots of challenges on this course since it's spread out over such a huge area. Some of everything. Very challenging course with lots of undulations, water and sand traps. Very friendly staff. On a Saturday, it took us 5 1/2 hours to finish due to back-ups, but it was a beautiful day, so no complaints.
Great course, great condition
one of thye best we haveplayed. long and challenging. Friendly staff, good food, everything in excellent condition
Long course with lush grass
The course is in pretty good shape. It is pretty difficult so pace of play was terrible. Players in front of me were searching for their lost ball almost every shot. The staff and starter were dismissive, unfriendly and bordered on rude! That will keep me from ever playing there again
Tuesday golf
Course was in good shape. A lot better than earlier in year. Didn't have to wait got right on course and no waiting on any hole. Pace of play great. No drink cart.
Good value
The course needs an ice machine and water with cups. We had to play nine holes before getting something to drink. They have some water barrels located about every 4-5 holes. Not exactly enough.
will be back next time in town
From out of town so this was the first time here. The layout was super in my opinion. Only thing I had a bit of criticism is that the card did not show distances; example: from the tee box ( I played blue) on many holes I thought I could easily carry a chasm or trap, only to find my ball dropping into it. It was also not evident from the diagram on the scorecard exactly where the turns were in the fairways nor how far to said turn (some holes on the back are not visible from the tee box). Obviously a local or multiple-time player will be fine. Still it was worth the experience; super course.
Great Time
Antler Creek is in excellent condition. The fairways and greens can't get any better. Had a great time playing but did have some rain on the last 3 holes. Overall awsome.
Not For Everyone
Played this coursed yesterday for the first time with my wife. It was a warm but breezy day. Let me begin by saying the course is in good shape. Level tee boxes, true rolling greens, although the reads were difficult. Fairways were wide and green. The rough was lush and penal if you found it. My only complaint is the sand in the bunkers was inconsistent, but mostly hard. Given that there are 73 bunkers on the course, this is a problem. There are many hard dogleg elevated greens, and the previously mentioned sand is there to grab any errant shot. Local knowledge, which we did not have, is essential to scoring well here. This is the longest course in Colorado from the tips, but even playing from the forward tees, my wife who has a slow swing speed could not carry some of the native grass areas. So in a nutshell, great course if you have local knowledge, can carry 150 yards of native area and can stay in the fairway. If you can't, be prepared to part with many golf balls and not like your score at the end of the day.
Great Course, great challenge
I played this course from the tips. It was over 8,000 yards. It was an awesome test of golf. I truly enjoyed it. The course was in great condition...a little wet from recent rains but I loved it.
pleasantly surprised
Reading other reviews I got the impression that the fairways were sparce of grass. That was not the case. I enjoyed the round and would play there again
