Good Course.....bad greens

I have played this course quite often and usually have no complaints. I played it last week and I could not believe how poor the greens were.....very bumpy ...need to be rolled or something. Oh well not to upet since the great hot deal I booked!

This is a real challenge

The course has multiple sets of tees to suit evey player. It is a long course with excellent fairways and greens. To enjoy the course to the max, one must stay in the short grass as the rough is extremely difficult. It we were in this area again, we would definitely play this course again.

Antler Creek is a pleasure to play!!!

Every time I play there, the staff has always been very nice and cordial.
Playing this course is challenging and rewarding. Shooting a low score is pat yourself on the back time, but the course allows for great scores to happen when you stay in the short grass and fire accurately into the greens and your short stick is working, This year the course conditions are great (plenty of rain). Greens are rolling true. Do yourself a favor and go play Antler Creek. One of my new favorites!

You'll want to play tees appropriate with your handicap.

This is probably the most challenging course on the front range from back tees. Black tees are impossible for even golf pros. The course is long. Very long. Fairways are fair with plenty of landing area. Greens are excellent shape save a few with minor winter damage still struggling. Course could use a trim or two. I think it's deliberate to help drought drought conditions here in Colorado. Overall, I love the course. Oh yes. Wind...plenty of it and it does make it even harder. Patty Jewett golfers, don't bother. It might make you cry.....

Glad to discover a challenging course in COS

This is a challenging course that I will definitely play again this season. My only real complaint was pace of play. Yes, it was Sunday midday but the group in front of the one I played in was horrendously slow. They had lots of errant tee shots and did not seem to be familiar with playing ready golf. Other issue is that #17 green has some dry patches that affect it's the ability to putt on it. The gauntlet is an amazing set of four holes. I was thinking holes after #12 would be easier, but the challenging layout continued. I think people who are complaining about this course may be trying to keep it to themselves - don't be fooled, it's definitely worth the challenge if you're a decent player!

Course is in terrible condition!

At least 5 greens are unplayable and should be under repair. 9-10 fairways have large dead patches especially around bunkers.
They are blaming it on "winter kill" and cold temps in April but I've played numerous other courses at similar elevation and none are in this bad of shape.
Shame of it is that I live on this course and this was the first and likely last time ill play this year.

Beautiful course but very difficult

This course is not for a novice golfer. It is very long and very unforgiving. I shot my worst round in the past 2 years here. It was a very attractive course and well kept except for certain parts. I did enjoy golfing here but the people I was with, weren't quite as happy with the difficulty. Like I said, it is not for beginners.

some greens require attention

play was fast finished in just over 3 hours despite a 3some who couldn't reach the fairway with their tee shots. Some of the greens were in need of attention, but the starter did relay that to us before we teed off. Most of the course was in good shape. Greens seemed a little slow. Played from the blues and found it to be a good test especially in the wind. Check for deals you can probably find one.

Challenging course

Course is challenging for me and I played the white tees. Most golfers were playing the whites. There are some forced carries but the ball did seem to travel farther here than in south Texas. I ended up making the adjustment after hitting over a few greens and running through fairways. The greens were very fast and spotty. Made stopping any downhill puts near the hole difficult. Some fairways were spotty up closer to the green. I hit within 30 yards of #1 green but the lack of grass where the ball stopped made up and down too much of a challenge for me. Would play again later in the year after the grass has time to fill in.

Long, lots of sand

Course is not quite ready. Fairways and greens need to grow about another month. Crazy to use back tees. Accept that there will be wind.

2/3's of the Course is Dead

We were very disappointed in the condition of the course. Sure we got a $29.00 green fee but we felt like it wasn't worth $10.00. The info that we received was that the last snow in the area down there caused all the damage. We were told that the fairways were rough but that the greens were good. We however thought the greens were awful but it was true the rest of the course was worse than the greens. This is very unfortunate for the course as we have always enjoyed making our 2-3 trips a years down to the course from the Southeast Metro area. We will likely not go back again this summer. We find it hard to imagine that the course could recover from this much damage in one summer. If you are thinking of going call the clubhouse and discuss the current course conditions before spending your money. We won't consider going back until the end of summer and even then we will call ahead to check on the course condition. Better yet we will read the most recent course reviews

Poor condition

It's early in the year but several other courses I've played have been in MUCH better shape. Cart Path only to help this out causes round to be much slower. Greens were quite dry with dead spots on most every green. I won't golf here again until mid summer. Waste of money to play it right now.

Needs water to turn green.

The is a long challenging play, but they have not started watering and it shows. Some of the greens are like concrete and mostly brown.

Great layout, poor conditions

This would be a very fun, challenging course, if there was grass. Now I'm not that picky, I like to find deals, and I like golfing in the winter when its all dead. That being said, there were holes with literally no grass. Not just dead grass, but just a small amount of plant matter over dirt. On some holes they even pulled up what grass was growing in the fairway and transplanted it around the green, leaving big spots of dirt you were supposed to move your ball off of. 1 of the greens had live grass, the rest were pitiful. With the current drought, I would stay clear of this course unless its completely free. Hopefully it can "weather the storm" and stay open long enough to see a good, healthy rainy season or two.

Good Course - Always Windy

I enjoy this course overall. It is challenging with the ravines and other hazards to avoid, however, it is always windy which makes it a little uncomfortable in cooler weather but, overall I do enjoy playing this course.
