Worth the trip
I've had Antler Creek on my bucket list for a long time and finally got the opportunity to play the course and was fortunate enough to play with a local who knew the course well and helped guide me through the challenges that even the blue course offered. To play the gold or black tees one would have to be at the top of your game, especially with the driver. Being late in the season the greens were only in fair shape due to earlier aeration and sanding. The greens would be tough enough under normal conditions. The course has plenty of bunkers and hazards to keep you honest. A great challenge to all levels of golfers.
Tough course
The course is in great shape but super super long they said they just aerated so we get a discount but you couldn't tell. Will differently very very challenging course
Antler Creek, Colorado Springs, CO.
Courteous staff. Great value. Challenging layout from the back tees especially with the wind. Course was in very good shape.
Great Value for Late Season
Great Value for Late in the Season, but we played on a pristine day & the course was in great shape & the areas being worked on were well marked. Needless to say - game of my life, yet challenging long holes!
Long fairways and fast greens
Long fairways and fast greens, greens need attention on some holes
Great course. Very challenging
Great course at an exceptional value. Fairways and rough were in great conditions. The course layout was very challenging. Greens were good. Some needed a little attention. Had so much fun the first day, decided to play again the following day. Definitely recommended if in the Colorado Springs area. Staff was very friendly.
Challenging course with varying, rolling, and elevated terrain.
This is a very nice course located 20 min outside of Colorado Springs. Fairways are well maintained and offer many bunkers and water hazards along the way. Very long course. Rough is very deep cut, so much so that when your ball lands there you have to really pay attention to find it. If you hit it beyond the rough you might as well forget about it and move on. Greens were good overall with some looking like they are having problems. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to have fun. Limited shade on a hot day. Call into the clubhouse on hole 8 and order a sandwich and pick it up after hole 9!
Great course. Good layout.
Tee boxes in great shape. Fairways were lush. Rough was really difficult but fairways are generous and most golfers can avoid the rough most of the time. Several of the greens were in poor condition but the others rolled well and were consistent.
More challenge than I expected
I wasn't expecting much for a run of the mill golf course in a housing development but I was surprised by the variety of the layout. Numerous ravines and bunkers added challenge to much of the golf course. Good value for the cost.
Longest course around
Links style with narrow landing zones, good greens. Target Golf
Good Course.....bad greens
I have played this course quite often and usually have no complaints. I played it last week and I could not believe how poor the greens were.....very bumpy ...need to be rolled or something. Oh well not to upet since the great hot deal I booked!
This is a real challenge
The course has multiple sets of tees to suit evey player. It is a long course with excellent fairways and greens. To enjoy the course to the max, one must stay in the short grass as the rough is extremely difficult. It we were in this area again, we would definitely play this course again.
Antler Creek is a pleasure to play!!!
Every time I play there, the staff has always been very nice and cordial.
Playing this course is challenging and rewarding. Shooting a low score is pat yourself on the back time, but the course allows for great scores to happen when you stay in the short grass and fire accurately into the greens and your short stick is working, This year the course conditions are great (plenty of rain). Greens are rolling true. Do yourself a favor and go play Antler Creek. One of my new favorites!
This course has fast, friendly and amazing staff.
We were very impressed with the course, the staff was very friendly and attentive to us. We felt like we were members. Check in was simple and fast, We will definently be returning.
Great Course
Antler Creek is a very challenging links style course.
some greens in poor state
greens need work - some had bare spots and about half had uneven surface (other than ball marks)
You'll want to play tees appropriate with your handicap.
This is probably the most challenging course on the front range from back tees. Black tees are impossible for even golf pros. The course is long. Very long. Fairways are fair with plenty of landing area. Greens are excellent shape save a few with minor winter damage still struggling. Course could use a trim or two. I think it's deliberate to help drought drought conditions here in Colorado. Overall, I love the course. Oh yes. Wind...plenty of it and it does make it even harder. Patty Jewett golfers, don't bother. It might make you cry.....
Glad to discover a challenging course in COS
This is a challenging course that I will definitely play again this season. My only real complaint was pace of play. Yes, it was Sunday midday but the group in front of the one I played in was horrendously slow. They had lots of errant tee shots and did not seem to be familiar with playing ready golf. Other issue is that #17 green has some dry patches that affect it's the ability to putt on it. The gauntlet is an amazing set of four holes. I was thinking holes after #12 would be easier, but the challenging layout continued. I think people who are complaining about this course may be trying to keep it to themselves - don't be fooled, it's definitely worth the challenge if you're a decent player!
Course is in terrible condition!
At least 5 greens are unplayable and should be under repair. 9-10 fairways have large dead patches especially around bunkers.
They are blaming it on "winter kill" and cold temps in April but I've played numerous other courses at similar elevation and none are in this bad of shape.
Shame of it is that I live on this course and this was the first and likely last time ill play this year.
Beautiful course but very difficult
This course is not for a novice golfer. It is very long and very unforgiving. I shot my worst round in the past 2 years here. It was a very attractive course and well kept except for certain parts. I did enjoy golfing here but the people I was with, weren't quite as happy with the difficulty. Like I said, it is not for beginners.
