Rating 75.0

Carved from rolling orange groves and native, protected wetlands, Mystic Dunes Golf Club sits on the edge of the premier travel destination in the world yet offers a feeling of escape from it all. Located just two miles south of Walt Disney World, Mystic Dunes was designed by PGA Tour player and NBC golf analyst Gary Koch.

Tee-to-green, this golf course is stylish blend of classic strategic forms and thoroughly modern methods, but it is its greens that will make this course notable beyond whatever regional reputation it develops. Greens reminiscent of Augusta National, par-4 holes that rival in length to some of the longest seen in major championships, and a diabolical quartet of par 3s that seem to get more intense as the round progresses are just some of the features on this 7,012 yard, par-71 track. Mystic Dunes will leave a lasting impression on you.

Great Value, highly suggest

I have not played here in 4+ years because conditions were not the best before. But under new management the course seems to be doing well! Everything is in amazing condition. Tee boxes, fairways, greens. Greens rolled really good. Not crazy fast, maybe like a 9-9.5 stimp but they rolled true! Fun layout which makes it an entertaining round. Paid 45-50$ which is a steal for how good the course is. I will definitely be coming back. They did mention they are punching the green early September

Great course

Mystic Dunes is a great course with a unique layout than most other central Florida courses. Course conditions were in great shape besides the greens. I’m thinking they need to be completely redone. Past few times I’ve played here the greens were extremely slow. Cart girl also did not move from hole 7… seen her once and that was it and apparently they get complaints about that a few times a day. Post round ate at the club house and they had a pretty good lunch. Fair for the price they’re currently charging.

What an absolute joke

How in the world on a Sunday morning, which is arguably the busiest day of the week for a golf course can you run the sprinklers all over the fairways during play. I was legitimately hit dead smack in the face while going to my ball in the middle of the fairway from a sprinkler that just decided to pop up and and turn on.. When we talk to the gentleman we return the cart to he said it has been an issue and the sprinklers essentially are going off at any given time. I wouldn’t pay $10 for this place.

Course

Nice course we really liked the layout. The only negative thing I would say the temp was 95 when we played and was told no beverage cart I feel they could have filled the coolers on the cart with some free water and ice .

Waste Bunker Galore

It was a very average course. Greens were slow but not soft. Unique layout of holes but not my type of golf course.

Challenging

This course offers a variety of challenges for the beginner to master level golfer. The fairways were in need of attention and rough in many areas. The greens were in good condition and extremely challenging. I will play the course again and recommend it to anyone looking to test their skills.

Nice Suprise

Overall I was nicely surprised by the quality of Mystic Dunes. A lot of the holes are framed really well with tree lines, waste areas and water keeping you honest off the tee. The greens were in really good shape. Some fairways would benefit from some reseeding and the mowers could do a better job of picking up toughs of longer grass on the fairway.

Some pin positions were a little harsh.

Staff were friendly and informative, pro shop was well stocked and well spaced out.

Only saw the drinks cart once on one of the hottest days of the year.

Overall a good experience and value for money,

Will play again,

Great course

Mystic Dunes Golf Club – 9-Hole Review

I had the chance to play 9 holes at Mystic Dunes Golf Club recently, and honestly, I was impressed. The course lives up to the hype with a really unique layout and some unexpected challenges that kept me on my toes from the first tee shot.

I started on the front nine, which has a more links-style feel—wide fairways, creative mounding, and pot bunkers that can sneak up on you if you’re not paying attention. The first couple holes felt pretty forgiving, but by the 3rd, the course started to show its teeth. One of the standout holes for me was the par-3 2nd—it’s absolutely beautiful with water and elevation changes, but it’s not just for show; you’ve got to stick your shot or you’re scrambling.

The greens were in good condition overall—definitely a bit slower than I expected, but they rolled true. There’s a lot of subtle movement, too, so you can’t just go through the motions. I appreciated that every putt forced me to focus.

What I liked most was the variety. Even in just 9 holes, it didn’t feel repetitive at all. Each hole had its own personality—some rewarded aggression, others punished it. Course management matters here.

Staff was friendly, pace of play was smooth, and the clubhouse had everything I needed pre- and post-round.

Vacation golf

Found this course last year, re visited while on vacation this year. Really like the course layout, you get a good mix of old Florida golf and what I call resort golf. Conditions were better than celebrations and Hawks landing imo. The greens are really close to being ideal, they are receptive, but could be a lot slicker. Had a few puts lip out as the holes were not re cut, most likely after a few days of play judging the wear around the hole and chewed up edges. Really like everything about the course though, solid 4.5 of 5 stars for me. Fun course

It was Decent

The greens were in great shape. The fairways overall were good, but there were a few fairways that were very patchy. If you’ve played Mystic Dunes before, you already know which fairways are patchy…nothing has changed in that regard. If you’ve never played it, the layout is very challenging, but fun, with major undulation on the greens. It’s reasonably priced for the summer too. Course is in good shape (for now).

Challenging but fair

They probably moved a lot of dirt to build this course. There is a considerable amount of shaping in the fairways and on the greens. Course was in great shape, pace of play was good, although I didn't use the dining facilities they looked to be very nice. I would play this courser again.

Narrow

The pace of play could be improved. Our 8:00 start time turned into a 30-minute wait, so it would be great if we could begin on time in the future. The course features many waste areas, which can be quite challenging if you stray from the fairway. Having some additional guidance on those areas would be helpful!
