Franklin Bridge Golf Club
About
Franklin Bridge Golf Club (formerly known as The Crossing GC) runs alongside the Harpeth River, which borders 15 of the course's 18 holes. Opened in 1970, the course has a classic layout that will appeal to a wide range of skill levels. Some of the holes definitely present a formidable test, the 16th and 18th for example, which have been hailed by local media as two of the best and most challenging holes in the state, but it is the par-4 ninth with its island green that is the course's signature hole. Although the layout offers a fair challenge, there is also some room for error that makes it more approachable for beginners. In addition to the course, Franklin Bridge Golf Club boasts an 8-acre driving range as well as chipping and putting greens equipped with a practice sand bunker.

Iffy course condtions
IMO, Forrest Crossing aerates too often. I don't mind the fact that they do one side of the greens, followed by the other, but they do it 2-3 times a year. The greens are way too slow already and the aerating just makes them worse. They were nearly recovered when we played Friday, but the sand they put down is still making them slow.
There were numerous places where the fairways were in really bad shape. To their credit, they've put sod down on many of the damaged areas, but it's disappointing that they always seem to be chasing a fix rather than staying ahead of the problems.
As far as course condition goes, the most frustrating thing is the tee-boxes. Too many of them are just in horrible shape which, to me, is inexcusable this time of the year.
I like this course and I like their staff but the conditions are just never close to being as good as they should be.
Great course
Would definitely play again when in the area. The staff was very nice.
Winter kill
Like many other courses in Nashville, winter kill has taken its toll
Worst course in Tennessee for the cost
The fairways were nothing but mud and ground. If you were lucky enough to land in grass on the fairway, it was at least 4 to 5 inches thick. Half the greens were aerated, so you had to land on the right side of every green to even have a formidable putting attempt. I have played this course a few times over the past couple years and this is the worst I have ever seen it or any golf course in this price range. Definitely a goat track, don’t waste your time or money.
Not what I expected
FIrways were awful. Greens were horrible. Bunkers were even worse. It has the potential to be. Really great course, but it seem that it hasn't been taken care of.
We appreciate your feedback. Please understand when you played last Tusday we had received 6 plus inches of rain over a 5 day period prior to your visit. We're doing everything in our power to get the course back in normal condition and could use some help from mother nature.
Nice Course
I didn't actually play, just tagged along with my husband, as I am pregnant. He enjoyed the 2 guys company of who he was paired up with. Pace went quickly until last several holes. He found it to be challenging but enjoyed the day.
BAD Fairway fairway fairway
Fairway is terrible and they haven't maintained for a long time. If I hit the ball, whole brown fairway is waiting for you. 2nd shot is always on brown hard tight lie. Please seed the grass on fairway.
Nice course for the challenge
I liked the different challenges on this course Plenty of bends and water.
Fairways in Bad Shape
I like this track, but do know that winter kill really took out most of their fairways. They are working to bring them back and have sprigged most of them and the entire course is cart path only. That said and you don't get overly emotional about occasionally moving your ball a little for a more normal fairway lie, and you like nice greens, you'll be fine.
Worst course in Nashville are
Fairways are in terrible condition. Dead grass mostly. Greens are burnt out from poor care.
Very rude old man ranger.
Overpriced food and bev.
Driving range is uneven, with pits, and poorly maintained.
Fairways were dirt
When the new fairways come in the course will be nice again. But for now the fairways have zero grass, so therefore this was a very unpleasant experience
Dead grass in the Fairways
The Fairways were very hard with dead grass. The greens were fast but rolled true. Not worth $50 each.
The course
The late winter had the course behind schedule otherwise this course has a lot of fun holes. I recommend playing and will play again when get back to Nashville.
Golf with Friend
Course fairways are domant and because of the recent rain, there was standing water and very few decent lies other that very short grass and excess ground moisture. Course is a nice course but not in great shape today. Green were in very good shape and played fairly fast. I will come back again when fairways come in.
Friday Golf
The value is always good. Can't remember the last time this course was in good shape
Good course
Play this course couple times a season. Good challenging course. Popular course and often busy creating slow play.
Fantastic greens
The fairway grass was still dormant so many fairway lies were on dirt. Greens were very true and fast. Nice layout.
Island green challenging
Still waiting for the grass to turn green. But overall course played pretty good.
Solid course but tee times were delayed
Solid course have played many times. In was in good shape. The tee times were delayed 25 mins almost ran out of time to finish in the sunlight.
Thank you for the feedback. Appreciate the comments, they help us to continually improve, but would like to clarify a few things:
We aerified the left half of each green the week of June 9th. That side will not be punched again until June 2015. We'll do the right side of the greens the week of July 7th and won't punch that side again until July 2015.
Tee boxes and fairways are a work in progress, and after the cold winter, are for many courses in the area. Hard to get ahead of it when we've had 1 good week of warm, dry weather to grow the bermuda grass.
