Franklin Bridge Golf Club
About
Franklin Bridge Golf Club (formerly known as The Crossing GC) runs alongside the Harpeth River, which borders 15 of the course's 18 holes. Opened in 1970, the course has a classic layout that will appeal to a wide range of skill levels. Some of the holes definitely present a formidable test, the 16th and 18th for example, which have been hailed by local media as two of the best and most challenging holes in the state, but it is the par-4 ninth with its island green that is the course's signature hole. Although the layout offers a fair challenge, there is also some room for error that makes it more approachable for beginners. In addition to the course, Franklin Bridge Golf Club boasts an 8-acre driving range as well as chipping and putting greens equipped with a practice sand bunker.

Winter Weather Round
The course was in pretty good shape during the winter month.
The greens were slick but little spongy. The fairways were tough to hit from, for a "sweeper" such as myself.
Pleasant suprise
This course was a pleasant surprise. There is plenty of water but the holes are laid out well and the par 5's are reachable. The greens were very fast for this time of year. Obviously, the fairways are dormant but I'm thinking later in the spring would be a treat.
my home course
Course was in good shape for it being the middle of winter in February. Well worth the 20 dollars
If Only the ground wasn't wet.
After we teed off, we were than informed that we use cart path only. Needless to say it took 6 hours to play 15 holes.. Night is the reason we stopped. This course is awesome in its challenges. Going to have to play it again in spring.
Solid course, nice challenge
Solid course with some mildly difficult holes just challenging enough for the golfer who isn't shooting 70s everytime. Shot an 86 here. One of my favorite courses in Nashville area.
Greens were good for November...
On a calm 65 degree November day, you won't find a better place to be than Forrest Crossing. It is well kept & the staff accomodates all players. Hole 18 is tougher than people give it credit for.
Nice layout but the greens were looking infected.
I had a good round but putting was difficult because of the greens. The island green is really fun.
Good course for the money.
The ace was slow but it was a busy Saturday. Overall the course was in good condition. The greens were very quick. The staff was very friendly. Definitely would recommend playing here for an economical round of golf.
playing time was good 4.25 hrs for eighteen holes in the afternoon
really like the fact that the range is included in the fee. all the "natural" areas are a little bit rough, could use better look for all these areas. overall enjoyed our foursome and finished the round in good time.
Pace of Play is Awful
This is Avery popular course, and I understand as a business you want as many customers as you can get, but Forrest Crossing HAS to address their slow play issues! Tiger & Phil are not the golfers playing this course, so why in the world they space 8 minute tee times is beyond me.
Please understand that this isn't just being written by me. I have MANY golf friends in the Nashville area and they simply refuse to ply there anymore because of how long it takes.
A round of golf on a Tuesday, where you tee off at 11:07, shouldn't take over 5 hours to play. And why in the world they even have course marshals is a joke.
I hate having to say this to a course I've played for many years, but it absolutely needs to be addressed.
Challenge for all
I had a good time playing this course. it was in good shape and was a decent challenge. It was overcast/rainy so the course was wide open and was able to complete my round in 3 hours. The greens were pretty fast and took me about 9 holes to get a handle on them. i enjoyed my experience here. Good value when booked through Golfnow.
Great course, great price
Very pleased with this course. Fairly easy play, great staff, greens were in pretty decent condition. I'd recommend it!
Good enough, nice people.
The course was fun, some interesting and cool holes. Really slow play and extremely crowded. 4-somes everywhere I looked even starting late.
Good course for the money and area
I play this golf course a lot based on its location.
- The staff is always friendly, remembers your name, etc.
- The layout is great except for a few quirky holes on the back 9.
- The greens are a little messed up right now. Not sure what happened to them given the great weather we have had this summer.
Always a good time but never quick.
Greens are starting to roll nicely after the aeration. The rest of the course is in good shape but the tee boxes could user some work. Good value unless trying to play early on the weekend. Got around relatively quickly this morning, but 18 usually takes 4.5 hours minimum.
Course needs attention
Due to the rain in in the past few weeks,it appears the course has gotten behind on their maintenance. The greens had not been mowed making them very slow and the sand traps were washed out and rutted.
On a positive note; I did receive a good free lunch.
Decent course that I play only because it is local.
Normal prices are incredibly high for the quality of the course. GolfNow prices should be their regular prices. Front nine is simple and straightforward. Back nine gets more challenging and interesting. Fairways and greens are in decent shape, but the tee boxes need some significant TLC.
Sanded Greens
The day I played the greens were sanded, which I didn't find out until the first green. Unfortunate as I heard they were one of the highlights of the course. Other wise the course was pretty average with some tee boxes being ragged. Nothing special to recommend the course other than a very friendly staff and nice practice facility.
Nice layout in overall good shape.
Enjoyed playing the course, good turf in fairways and rough, greens are Bermuda and in good shape, traps loose but maintained. Good value for money.
