Franklin Bridge Golf Club
About
Franklin Bridge Golf Club (formerly known as The Crossing GC) runs alongside the Harpeth River, which borders 15 of the course's 18 holes. Opened in 1970, the course has a classic layout that will appeal to a wide range of skill levels. Some of the holes definitely present a formidable test, the 16th and 18th for example, which have been hailed by local media as two of the best and most challenging holes in the state, but it is the par-4 ninth with its island green that is the course's signature hole. Although the layout offers a fair challenge, there is also some room for error that makes it more approachable for beginners. In addition to the course, Franklin Bridge Golf Club boasts an 8-acre driving range as well as chipping and putting greens equipped with a practice sand bunker.

Needs attention
This course has potential, but needs some attention. Granted this is fairly early in the golf season, but nevertheless not much grass on the fairways. For the money, I expected somewhat better condition.
Solid course, gets a lot of play...
Fairways don't have grass, dormant Bermuda... Will be better in a few weeks.
great golf course.
It had just rained the few days before so the course was pretty wet.But for my first-round of golf in Tennessee I really enjoyed it. I will be back again.
Very consistant golf course
This seems to be one golf course that, if all else fails, I know I can come to, pay a decent price, putt on decent greens, and not have to worry about whether or not I will even get to play.(as a single). They will always do everything possible to work you into a group, or let you jump in if there is a gap.
Course in Good shape for February
Enjoyed the round. Nice day and the course was in good shape for February and fun to play. Was pretty crowded for February, making the round a little on the slow side.
Poor conditions even for winter play
The course was overbooked and the pace was terrible. 3 hours for 9 holes; started on # 10. We started at 1:30 pm and had 4 holes remaining when we ran out of daylight.
The fairways are in need of attention to clear debris from recent rain and flooding. The greens are inconsistent and I likened them to putting on shag carpet.
It will be a very long time before I play here again.
Friendly staff, challenging course, fast greens.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The course is challenging and water hazards feature on several of the holes. The 9th is a great par four with an island green. The layout offers good variety from first to last tee with greens that are consistently quick and require a deft touch. Over all a good day of golf and a lot of fun.
Not too easy (well-balanced) and good landscape!
It is very good for players who wants to have practice before
playing on the cources; driving range, pitching and banker shots and putting are avaialble as much as you can before and after you play.
For me, dificult to select the best club for the 2nd shot of #16 hole. Besides, I believe end shot of #18 hole is difficult to understand the necessary distance unless player has experiences to walk through the course.(Difficult to know the distance by seeing at the 2nd shot hitting point.)
Greens showed and felt aerated, more bunkers would make for better placement off the tee boxes.
Forrest Crossing is a good course to play, but watch out for the price and bookings. At their full price it is better to shop around for other courses to play. Also, they will book tee times every 7 min so if players with high handicaps are playing...look for slow day on the course. The fairways are generous off the tee box, but they need more fairway sand bunkers to make the course a bit more challenging.
When costs get down to 50% of full price, always try to play this course. It is a good value for the money at that time.
Would recommend with some hesitation
I'd like to like Forrest Crossing more. It's conveniently located to my church and to several of my friends, and there's no other 18-hole public course within 20-25 minutes.
I've played off and on at this course for many years and it just seems to have stagnated. Generally in mediocre to good condition, but rarely horrible or great.
It's overpriced not to see some periodic improvement.
And too many 4 1/2 - 5+ hour rounds.
Best bang for the buck around!
The course was well maintained and extremely scenic! But the real treat was finding out that the course fee includes a bucket and and lunch (sandwich of choice, chips and a drink including beer). I will be making this course one of my regulars from now on!!!
Great Value
This course is great for beginner golfers and high handicappers.
Nice Course but pricey
This is a nice course and was in great condition for the last day of September, but I am glad I was able to get a discounted rate on GolfNow.com. I would not pay the full greens fee price for this course as it is no where near the level of some of the other courses in Nashville that charge similar amounts. It is a tough course, but fair. The back 9 is a little better than the front 9 as far as asthetic value goes. It was a fun day overall.
No Pace of Play
My wife and I were able to play 11 holes before getting backed up on the 12th hole teebox behind two other groups and another group following us. It took us 3 1/2 hours to play 11 holes and probably would of been atleast another 2 hours if we would of finished. We were not given any rain check or offered anything for the wait since we payed through golfnow.com
Great Course
This was a fun course with soft greens. I enjoyed the staff and overall expierence.
A great course in the Nashville area.
I really enjoyed playing at Forrest Crossing Golf Course. It was a challenging course at a reasonable rate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend it to anyone in the Nashville area.
