Greens are shot!
I realize that with the fairways the grass has yet to grow (hopefully) but the greens are shot! The carts even stop and tell you to backup from the cart path.
At one time this was among my favorite places to play but unless some serious maintenance is performed, no more.
Our 2nd time at CR
We got a great rate to play at 10:00am! The greens were very rough. We got back to the clubhouse at noon and there was only 1 hotdog available. The girl at the front desk seemed to be more interested in what was on her phone. She did apologize for only having 1 hotdog.
The greens are disappointing.
This used to be one of my favorite courses to play, but over a year ago they had issues with the quality of their greens. After over a year the greens are still not back to where they used to be (their greens used to be some of the best around)...very disappointing.
Struggling greens
I usually avoid this course. The standard $65 for a weekend round isn’t worth it. However, I got a deal and played for $25 and that’s more than a fair price. The greens are struggling but it is playable if played as ground under repair. Every other aspect of the course is good. Fairways, tee boxes and amenities are good. If you are thinking of playing here, consider the price and patches of dead grass on basically every green.
Great layout.
Only issue was the greens haven’t recovered from damage back in the summer. Don’t let that stop you. It’s a great course.
Friendly staff. Greens are horrible
Everybody that works there is very nice and helpful. Extremely disappointed with the greens. They are in very bad shape. They brought their price down some but I feel like I still overpaid for how bad they are.
Course in good shape. Greens in very poor condition due to scalping earlier in the year. Hence, the poor course conditions at present time.
Crockett Ridge
Recently Crockett Ridge experienced problems with their greens, unknown if it was a type of disease or caused by human error. However, the rest of the course was in good shape and the staff were very up front with the condition of the greens. I played 18 and enjoyed my day regardless and will return.
Rough greens
The staff provides excellent service, and the golf carts are equipped with a GPS system. The tee boxes and fairways are in excellent condition. However, the greens require attention, as they exhibit significant sand coverage with limited grass on several holes.
Despite the condition of the greens, the course presents a compelling challenge.
