Lakeland Golf Club

Driven by Lakeland several times, but never taken the opportunity to play. Tried it out with my wife on Monday and were very glad we did. We only had time to play nine, but we will definitely come back. Some of the fairways are narrow, but regardless of how forgiving a course might be we tend to find the trees at least once per round, so why worry. The greens were in tremendous shape given the time of year. The course was well marked and the cart paths smooth making for a very comfortable ride. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Great value for the money as well.

Ridiculous. ALL the greens were full of crabgrass and the ball literally bounced across the greens two to three times until it slowed and settled. For $50,there’s no excuse for that. No sand in the bunkers on the front nine and the back wasn’t much better. Tried to take my small,collapsible cooler with my insulin and water in it and was told that the marshal WILL call the Shelby County Sherif’s Department by one of the staff and have me arrested if I don’t take it back to my car. The guy behind the counter in the pro shop was good as gold but Jesus Christ,call the local police to have someone arrested for a cooler the size of a lunchbox to keep my meds in? Never again,worst golfing experience of my life.

This used to be one of my favorite courses in Memphis. Boy has that changed. Greens full of weeds that severely affect putting lines. Bunkers over grown with weeds, no takes by any bunkers. Tee boxes in rough shape. The layout of this course is wonderful and this course could be a gem if well maintained. Staff was very friendly, but other than that highly disappointed. Unless things change drastically I probably will not play there again.

Needs a new maintenance crew. Rock hard weedy bunkers and greens had weeds growing but has a amazing layout and amazing clubhouse

We booked this course multiple weeks in advance. Their greensmower broke the week before we played. They didn't spray weeds or attempt to rent a greensmower to keep the greens (and tee boxes) at least half-decent. Also - no discount was offered due to the terrible conditions

This course was horrible. The whole course was ground under construction. The greens were awful . The course is dusty and unkempt. I want my money back

There were mower issues this week. The greens were not in very good shape. Just a few weeks ago I was happy to say the course was looking better. A bit disappointed today.

Have played this course over the years and this by far was the worst conditions I have seen it in. Greens were aweful, fairways were hard as concrete, tee boxes were hard to get a tee in the ground. Amazing the condition of the course and management should be ashamed of the conditions. 1 positive the clubhouse is nice and good was great but we didn’t come to hangout and eat, we came to play golf and it was a lot to be desired.

I know it's the end of summer but to charge full price to play on greens with weeds, dirt and fungus is not it. Tee boxes were hit or miss. Fairways were decent. Not too challenging of a course but not worth $50

Greens were burned or missing in many spots...weedy as well. Not super slow but very uneven. Flags came off pins on multiple holes. General conditions were as bad as I've ever seen. Kitchen closed. I'll be staying away.

Course is in great shape. It was very hot and pace of play was great. It gave us a breeze when driving golf cart.

The course is in good shape. Some of the rough does need to get mowed. Greens were rolling really well.
