Pine Creek Golf Course
About
Located east of Nashville in Mount Juliet, Pine Creek Golf Course claims to have the most well maintained greens in the area as well as some of the most affordable rates. The layout offers different challenges on the front and back nines for a diverse round. The first nine are links holes that tumble across rolling terrain while the back nine has a more traditional design with tighter fairways that require greater accuracy and strong iron play. The signature hole is the par-3 sixth, a hole generously framed with trees that crosses a large water hazards. It is a fair test for players of all skill levels but it was also designed with playability in mind. More seasoned golfers will find many risk-reward opportunities but beginners the forced carries won't punish beginners.

Course and staff
The course was in great shape and the staff was excellent
Overgrown and poorly kept
The greens were like a thick carpet and were covered in debris. We had to clear paths for our balls on almost all of them. Definitely not worth the expensive price.
Are you serious
I have played here several times prior to moving away and decided to play while in town. Now I've always had complaints but today was the day that really showed how much they don't care at this course. Charging full price for greens that were punched still healing and had hadn't been cut in over a week. Everyone complained throughout the day and the staff just laughed at us when we complained at the end of the round and said that's just business. This course is usually pretty nice for the area thankfully i never have to play here again.
Hairy greens
They hadn’t mowed the greens in a while, they were at fringe lengths, impossible to accurately putt on and they still charged full price.
Full price for uncut, aerated greens.
The course was in okay shape. Very disappointed that we had to pay full price for a course where the greens had not been cut in a week or two. Aeration holes were almost healed, but the greens were very hairy. My wife also ruined her 60 degree wedge, when she took a shot on #10 and there was a rusted piece of metal under her ball, that she could not see. The staff apologized for her club being ruined, but that was it.
Good Round (after days of rain)
Played the day after it rained quite a bit; therefore, the course was cart path only, which was understandable. Carts are older and worn a little, but they get the job done. Fairways and greens were in good shape for the most part. Some of the greens and tee boxes needed to be mowed/clipped, but probably weren't b/c of the wet conditions. Pace of play was great. Overall great round of golf, I shot a 78 with a triple bogey on #18, which is a good round for an 8-10 handicapper like me. Course is somewhat open but a decent challenge for most golfers.
Great time.
Being new to the area, this is a great course for the cost. I’m eager to see the view when the leaves start to change. Gotta try the hamburgers too!
Life happens
Had to leave for a personal family issue at the turn. Course wouldn’t give me rain check. I bought balls . Beers. Burgers and would have continued to patronage this course. Instead I won’t play it again nor recommend it. Short sighted thinking has lost them a lot of money.
Good course. N management
The course is a very nice layout. Great par 3s and some interesting holes. Pace of play was horrible. We teed off at 1040 on a Sunday round took 4:45. No course Marshall’s. The group directly ahead was two holes behind. Waited on every shot. Greens are average. Lots of unrepaired ball marks.
Great course
One of my favorite courses to play around the Nashville area
Decent course but maintenance team needs serious training
I just moved down the street from this course so I had to give it a shot. They were reasonably priced with a nice range, although mats only that day which wasn’t ideal. The lady in the pro shop was very friendly but some directions on where to locate range balls and such would’ve been helpful. No starter, which was fine but people were just heading up to the first tee at their own accord which was a bit awkward when guy’s teed off ahead of us before their time.
The course is in decent shape, nothing spectacular but solid fairways. Bunkers were in good shape, but they were lacking grass for a true rough and their greens were a little beat up which tends to happen with uneducated golfers playing somewhere that is less expensive. The greens were a bit slow but I’m not sure if that was normal of due to the following reason(s) which was my biggest issue overall. The maintenance crew needs some serious training on etiquette. Upon pulling up to our drives on the first tee and getting ready to take our approach shots, a maintenance worker pulled right up in front of the green, hooked up his hose and started watering the green for 10-15 minutes! I was shocked and appalled that he looked at us multiple times and kept going on about his business. I thought it may have been some type of anomaly until this happened 6 more times to our group through the round. Exact same scenario. So we play some greens not watered, some that were just soaked down, not to mention you get in a rhythm and are about to hit your shot just to have one of these guys pull in front of the green and start watering FOREVER. Two other times, once whole teeing off and once whole putting, maintenance workers came flying around corners in the middle of one of us hitting and just kept flying by. No attempt to stop, no courtesy wave as an apology and wasn’t concerned with us finishing our shots before proceeding. That type of stuff really ticks me off and is unacceptable. The cart girl was very friendly and was fully respectful of players but the rest were not. Not having a Marshall to control pace of play or address some of these issues was pretty embarrassing on a Saturday with a full course.
Overall, the course is decent for a cheaper round and will be good to work on your game. But be prepared to run into some of these frustrations of slow play and the worst maintenance etiquette of all time.
