Cypress Creek Country Club in Boynton Beach offers classic Florida golf. The course is mostly open and it features wide, player-friendly fairways. The layout is notable for being Robert Von Hagge's first design. It is a traditional layout that casual players will enjoy but it has challenges in store for the low handicapper as well. The par 3s are quite lengthy and there are water hazards coming into play on a few holes. There are also a number of strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. Five sets of tees make the course approachable for all skill levels. It is an excellent layout for tournaments or outings. In addition to the golf course, Cypress Creek also offers a driving range where golfers can get in some practice before starting the round.

Cypress Creek
Generally not a bad course. It has seen better days but it is pretty well maintained. The greens had been sanded pretty heavily so there was no release at all. Your ball stayed within a couple feet of where it landed. Also there is no Ranger so the pace of play is not managed at all. This was frustrating as the group ahead of my twosome was pretty slow and didn't give us a chance to play through forcing us to finish after dark. The deal on the greens fee made it worth playing but not sure I'd go back.
Fun.....Fun....Fun....with a few challenging holes!
The staff here are super friendly and cordial. The course is in great shape with the exception of a few greens that were sandy because of a recent airation that will probobly fully heal in a couple of weeks. Had a great time with the twosome I was paired with...Jerry & Dennis. I would definately play this course again and again.
Low price and there is a reason for it
This could be a very pretty and good golf course.
Do on course toilets with a decent door really cost that much? On this course the toilet doors take the prize for tacky and grimy. It is like a restaurant. You can judge the quality of the place by the toilets and by that standard this course fails.
One or two staff are good and helpful. The general tone of the course is one of decay and neglect. However the price is low.
Decent course for the money
Decent course that can be played if your first choice is not available
Stay on the fairways!
I played this course a lot when I was first learning to play. Stayed away a couple of years because I always found the rough a problem. I always thought it was just me. My game has improved, so I decided to go back. Guess what? The problem was not my game. The rough on this course is a form of grass that will literally grab your club and refuse to let go. The grass is deceving, as it's not very high, but it is almost like St. Augustine in that it grows on top of the ground, but with a very fine and tough web. Lost balls are a common problem if the ball gets into that web, and if the ball is setting up, the grass underneath is tough to hit through. My playing partners had the same problem. Overall the course is typical for South Florida, and there are some great signature holes, but if you are not a straight shooter with your driver, play it conservatively to ensure you stay on the fairway. The staff as always was great. It was raining a lot for several weeks prior to our round, so the course conditions were not optimal, but wet or dry, that rough is just as tough as I remembered.
4 out of 5 for cypress creek golf course
Love the wide open fairways, and love the layout. The rough could be cut down some, and the greens were rolling a little slow to me. EXAMPLE: If i hit a drive 2 yards off the fairway and my entire foursome can't find the ball for five minutes when we all clearly seen the drive, and then one guy says here it is, I was standing on it, the rough needs to be trimmed, my opinion. keep the rough medium length to short, speed up the greens a bit, and with your wide open fairways, you'll have a Beautiful golfer friendly "public course". 8/10 , all and all I enjoy playing golf at cypress creek golf course.
Greens not in good shape
Greens were damaged during summer. Not fun to put.
After 2 tries, I'm done with this course
Really poor service. From pro shop, cart valet, to course marshall, they were all rude. The beverage cart girl was refreshingly nice, but I think I'm over this course now.
Course Quality
The is the poorest quality course I ever played in West Palm Beach. The greens are extremely poorly kept. The the fairways are in very bad shape. And the pace of play is extremely slow because too many golfers are let onto the Course.
The staff seems to lack customer relations, particularly those at he front desk.
