Pleasantly Surprised by the Conditions and Layout!
I hadn't heard great things about the Indian Spring East Course or its sister course over at Fountains Country Club, but sometimes you just have to get out there and make your own judgment. I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised by this track.
The course was in great condition, featuring a unique and highly challenging layout. Despite staring down a difficult slope rating (it plays at a 143 slope from the golds), I was surprised to walk away with a decent score—even with multiple stops in play due to the local lightning alerts.
From tee to green, the playing conditions were fantastic, and the greens themselves rolled smooth, nice, and true. Obviously, this course doesn't quite compare with some of the high-end, ultra-exclusive, members-only country clubs in the neighborhood. However, when you compare it to premier area municipal courses like Okeeheelee, Osprey Point, or Boca Racquet Club, this course sits firmly on that exact same tier. It is an excellent choice if you are looking for an accessible, challenging track with top-tier playing conditions.
Extremely disappointed
We were extremely disappointed with the course conditions. The greens were the slowest we’ve played so far not reaching 7.5 on the stimpmeter. My Partners say I’m generous and that they didn’t reach 6. The answer from the pro Shop personnel: it is very difficult to reach consensus on speed of greens among members !!! Really ? Many greens had been been resodded and were overall bumpy. Several tees had also been resodded and closed with 4 different markers on the same tee, not very good when you play a match. The Club should be ashamed to charge an $80 greens fee for these course conditions. If they wish to showcase their course for potential members, they’re shooting themselves in the foot. If they wish to make money, they’re stealing it from their customers. We cancelled a planned second round. Extremely disappointed.
Course condition
Overall course condition was not up to par for a private country club. Palm Beach County courses are in better condition.
Staff EXCELLENCE!!
I love playing INDIAN SPRINGS!! The layout is challenging & very beautiful…the par 3’s are being repaired..but great course & staff!!! Jimmy, Jake, all the golf staff that helps with the clubs!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Solid residential course
Typical South FL course winding through a community with a bunch of water hazards. Numerous tee boxes to choose from of varying distances. Greens were being worked on and quite sandy,.but not terrible. Pretty fun course, 3 par 3s on front.
Round rained out.
I only played 6 holes when they closed the course for rain and lightning. I’ve been trying to reach golf now for 2 days to get a credit to my account. If someone from golf now reads this please issue me a credit.
Poor condition
Sadly, Several greens had sections with strips of replacement sod like a fairway. Other areas of the greens with serious problems.
