A good walker
Relatively flat course can’t beat the price 20 bucks to play nine
Fast greens
For the money, this is a very good course to play at good shape fast greens nice atmosphere
Fun track in Merrimack Valley
Chelmsford is a nice 9 hole course, decent shape and nice people. Easy to get on and off.
Lovely Little Course
This course is a great spot for a beginner or someone who is new to the game. The pace of play on this day was the best it's ever been. My wife and I were able to play in less than 2 hours. Course is in good shape and the greens are rolled fair. I may not recommend it for the most advanced players however since its very short.
Very nice short course
The finest public 9 hole in the area, Sterling has improved the conditions each season and “adjusted” the layout on a couple of Donald Ross’s nightmarish green pitches like the ninth hole. Greens are slow, small and either elevated or naturally sloped. Tee boxes, fairways and traps are better than most public links. Putting green and driving range, portajohn and water in the middle of the track. A good day.
Short 9
Overall I like playing a quick 9 here. It's short, but greens are small which help make a pretty easy layout a bit tougher. Greens were recently aerated and not fully recovered yet, so putting was bumpy and slow.
