Great little course
Teeing off at 12:40 - Slow front nine (2:30). Back nine 1:40.
All in all a good challenging little course.
Will play again
Bit of a hidden gem!
Great 9-hole course with a challenging layout! Very good conditions for the area and a great deal as well. Keep an eye on errant shots though because this course will chew through a couple sleeves of balls if you’re not careful.
Nice Course, but they need faster play
The course is very nice and the fairways were in good shape.. The greens were a bit rough.
It took us 3 hours to play nine holes which is unacceptable. They really need a course ranger to keep things moving.
Great course
This course is always in fantastic shape and today was no exception. It offers a lot of different situations to use a lot of your bag (if you are smart!). Overall great course.
More Info for First Time Players
Set up for 18 makes tee boxes difficult. Soccer flags went unexplained so spent first hole shoot at wrong flag. Hole 8 blind to coming off of 7 and with what we found out was “14” extended fAirway to make it par 5 throughly confused us; no signage.
Quality 9-hole course
I was very impressed by this course for the price I paid. It is a gorgeous piece of land, tall trees that line the fairways. It is only 9 holes but they mix up the tee boxes on a few holes if you want to play 18, making it a little different than your first 9. Conditions are solid, comparable to a Sandy Burr or Newton Commonwealth. I would definitely recommend this to people that want to play 9 holes of enjoyable golf.
Worth the try
I’ve played Quail Ridge now three times and each of the times the course was in great shape, good pace of play and the entire staff extremely friendly. A fun 9 holes each time I’ve played there and definitely worth a try if you haven’t played there yet.
Unfortunate
This is a beautiful and challenging track that used to be 18 but is now 9. The Greens are in really good shape and fairways are fine. Unfortunately, the tee boxes range from great to horrible and the sand traps have almost no sand. This could be back to a 4/5 star course if they addressed these issues.
Fun course TOUGH layout
Great course, lots of variety here. A bad shot here will get you in a lot of trouble! Really challenging layout but fun to play, friendly staff, and great scenery. Will definitely come back soon now that I have the lay of the land and hopefully not lose so many balls.
