About
Myerlee Golf & Country Club began as the dream of a retired New York police officer who moved to Florida in the 1960s just so he could play more golf. His dream eventually became a peaceful retirement community with a beautiful 18-hole course as its centerpiece. The Arthur Hills-designed layout is one of the toughest par-60 golf courses in southwest Florida. There are two streams that cut across the course and intersect on the front nine. They snake along every hole, making water the predominant hazard but there are also several strategically placed bunkers to watch out for. The golf course is mostly open with a few cypress trees dotted along the fairways and greens. Myerlee Golf & C.C. is a course that will test your skills but it isn't overly punishing, which gives it appeal for beginners as well.

Better than most local courses in this price range
Myerlee is relatively short but presents some very challenging holes, particularly if the wind is up. I’ve played a few courses in the area that are similarly priced and I’d have to say that Myrtle is the best of them. Golf in SW FLA in January is just ridiculously expensive but it is what it is.
Ladies Wednesday morning league made the front nine extremely slow; the starter warned us this was likely. The back nine opened up and pace of play was much quicker. Greens were slick and rolled true.
S-L-O-W ..
Held up at every hole, sometimes with three groups waiting to tee off. Impossible to get into any playing rhythm..
The gentleman working the Pro Shop was very nice. Aside from that, the course is overpriced for the experience — even with a Golf Now discount.
Course
When you get there, everything is really good. The people are great get right out on time courses in real good shape got some good long holes and some short ones but all the greens are really tough love this course. I took a beginner with me this time hasn’t golfed in about eight years. Perfect course to take him to. He had a ball we will be going back.

The pro shop was great. We started on time and the pace was good. The course has its challenges but I found it a bit pricey for an executive course.. The people are friendly. This should be under $50 to be a good value.
