Excellent complex
Red Tail is a great place w/ all you need, friendly people. This course was wet and plays LONG!
#7 surely needs to be in discussion for one of the hardest par 5's in OR. 650yds from tips... it's up hill first half of hole, then water in play, then tight as you get to the green. BEAST!
Really a great layout and well-kept course, play here!
Really good course, but drains poorly
The course is a delight - so well laid out, beautiful, and appropriately challenging. But the drainage is awful. Yes, I'll play it again but will try to avoid going soon after a rainy period.
Great course
Great course, not great condition in winter, needs better drainage. But overall good for the money!
Why do I do this to myself
I like the layout of Red Tail and every so often I convince myself I should book a tee time. About three holes in I regret that choice. The course is not well maintained, summer or winter… doesn’t matter. During the winter there is no such thing as a fairway. During the summer the tee boxes are often over grown.
The conditions may be horrible the pace of play might be worse. At minimum it’s going to be a five hour round playing there on a weekend or holiday but probably closer to six. The group ahead of us were two holes behind at one point.
Nice course lay out
Nice course but too muddy and wet right now much better in summer
Very soggy but playable
The fairways were very wet and carts were cart path only. Walking through the mud was challenging but doable for the most part. There were some spots of standing water but winter rules allowed us to find a dry spot to hit from. The greens were in very good shape and putting was very normal. For winter golf it was fun and not too difficult to actually play golf,
Winter golf at redtail
Shot my best round of the year playing with two randoms! 88. +5 on the front forgot how to play on the back with +11 lol. Fairways are decent, and the greens weren’t frozen.
Good but it’s winter
It would be nice if the compressed air and water were turned on to clean up all the mud after a round.
