Grounds crew were rude, pin placements were all incorrect on the tee boxes(front/back/middle), played behind a 3some that were incredibly slow(finally played thru at turn), the fairways were overgrown with clover and weeds, the bunkers were poorly maintained, and very few water coolers actually had water in them . I really enjoy this course and hope they can get their greens crew figured out.
Slow play not fun….
Why are there course marshals if they never do their job? They never say anything about the frustration with slow play…They drive around but do nothing…Astonishing!!
Extremely slow—5 hours
5 Hours
Had a 4-some in front of our 3-some who waited for the man to tee off before the 3 ladies even went to their tee box. Mentioned it to marshal who talked to them but did not help. On 18 they waited until the group ahead of them was around the corner and out of sight before man teed off. None of them reached the first bunker, let alone the farthest bunker. A very painful experience.
Great Pro Shop
Love the pro shop and range but the course is terrible. Right from the start it didn’t look like they had mowed in over a week. Throughout the whole course the weeds and clover blossoms made it hard to find a golf ball in the middle of the fairway. It’s a shame, this course used to be much nicer. Seems like the city of Portland has given up on the property.
It’s Red Tail
I was thinking it was just me having a difficult time getting to the greens in regulation. A few holes an are long parr fours and there are tricky ones to boot. Overall bring your A game and you’ll have a great time. Greens are tough, not many straight putts but it is a course worth playing for sure.
We are getting closer
Still some wet areas, the greens were slow but in very nice condition, healthy grass. We will be back next week and maybe the week after to hit it when it’s ready!

Really enjoyed the round. Pace of play was good and the course conditions were good also.
Punched greens this weekend were bad
the punch greens were so bad this weekend all 18 greens punched and the sand was everywhere made the greens unplayable and there was no discounted rate for them. Not a good experience

It took 2 hrs, 30 mins to play 7 holes. No course Marshall facilitating play.
good greens and faulty fairways
Lots of lumps and bumps and weeds in the fairways. White weeds and deep grass making it hard to find a ball. Greens were good. Maybe they will get this course in shape later in the season.
