Too Expensive and No Marshalling
Got a hot deal on an afternoon tee time slot, looking forward to a decent pace of play as buggies were included.
Worth noting that if you are bringing anyone else along (e.g partner), there is mandatory $30 rider fee per person, which is ridiculous. My partner receiving rude comments from the staff on how she was dressed when she was not playing nearly put me over the line, and this was before getting out on the course. Believe me, she doesn't dress scruffy what so ever, but because she wasn't wearing a golfer branded polo shirt, that evidently gave the staff reason to make sarcastic comments towards her. Unbelievable for the price this experience was now racking up.
Club hire is now $35 as opposed to $28 stated on website. Men will receive Callaway Strata 10 piece set which is pretty well used. Grips are in dyer need of a change. Can't comment on what ladies will receive but bottom line is, definitely not worth the rental price. Driving range is $18 for a large bucket of golf balls (estimating around 60 balls), again way too expensive for the price but was to be expected after a rude greeting from staff and unexpected costly additional fees.
We needed to change a buggy before heading out due to it not working as expected and being told we need to "prime the gas pedal 5-6 to get it to work" every time we need to drive the buggy wasn't ideal, especially when paying $30 for an additional buggy on top of the $60 rider fee for 2 family members.,
The course itself is alright, nothing too challenging. Greens definitely need some TLC as a lot of divots, but can only put that down to other people's laziness than being the courses fault.
A big issue was pace of play. It is advertised that there are marshals around the course, which is true. However, don't tell me that a near 5 hour game is acceptable when marshaling is in effect. Understand this is on a weekend and that it may be busier, but a near 5 hour game is unacceptable when most/all players are using buggies.
II can walk a course in 4 hours with slow pace of play in the UK .
Overall ,felt absolutely ripped off, rude staff and a below average game of golf with very slow play.
Tourists , appreciate you may want to play a game in sunny FL. But honestly, save your money on wasting it here.
Nice
For the price it was a nice course a couple funky holes and sand in bunkers way to soft!!!
Great public course
Two couples played Arrowhead twice during our recent in Naples. It is hard to find decent golf at an affordable price in Naples but Arrowhead fit the bill. The staff is super friendly and the course was in great condition. Even though it rained the day before, the course drains well and we could drive our carts on the fairways. It is located in north Naples so was a 25 minute drive from our south Naples condo. The clubhouse is nice. Will definitely play here again.
Great shape
Our annual golf weekend always includes Arrowhead. Course I’m good condition, greens pretty fast given low rainfall this year. Newer break bunkers along fairways a bit different to hit out of. Staff great as always but disappointed no beer cart on a Thursday round but clubhouse staff were wonderful. The right challenge for our group. Cya next year!
For the price they should offer range balls at
no cost.
Thanks
