Club at Hidden Creek, The
About
The Club at Hidden Creek is one of northwest Florida's most treasured courses. Opened in 1988, it is still relatively young but it has built its reputation on it its well manicured greens and lush landscaping. A few years after opening, a local newspaper ranked it the best golf course in northwest Florida. The course features tree-lined fairways that tumble across scenic rolling terrain. The challenging golf course once served as a host site for the US Open Qualifying Rounds. Water hazards come into play as well as several strategically placed bunkers. Although seasoned golfers are kept on their toes, the layout is more still approachable thank to four different sets of tees. The Club at Hidden Creek has a longstanding reputation amongst the local community and many would consider a visit to the Emerald Coast incomplete without it.

Great Round
The course was set up very well. Tee boxes for the most part are in good shape and are level. The greens are very tough and if you count on lipping putts in you are in for a rough round as they are cut and rolled to probably a 10-12, but roll true to the putt. The rough could use a little work, but if you miss the fairway you will probably end up behind a tree anyways. Very nice round, will play again.
Better than most.
As a previous member I played 3 times a week,This golf club has never been in this BEST CONDITION.It is better than most in the tri.county area.Beverage & Dining needs to be as good as the course conditions.
Best course in the area.
I lucked Out and moved close to the course this last year. I play It almost weekly. I played other courses on the area but this one is by far the best. Really fast greens, and well maintained course. Not much rough to talk about but the traps can be a bear. I high recommend this course.
One of the best in NW Florida
Course is in excellent condition... greens FAST! As usual! Everyone friendly ... facilities always good. You’d have to go to Destin or Mobile to find courses of this quality.
The Panhandle Augusta
Great course... lightening fast greens and manicured fairways (no need to roll the ball). Challenging... sloped fairways, thick rough, enough water and sand to keep one’s attention.
Great course!
Nice layout. Fairways generous. Greens fast but true and held well.
Great conditions
I played this course in an FSGA one-day event, and I am not local to this area, but beyond this course being way off the beaten path, I had a great time navigating this layout. There are some tight holes, as my playing partners lost a few golf balls on wayward shots. Fairways, tees, bunkers, rough and greens were all in immaculate shape, so if you hit a bad shot that was on you. Greens were above average as far as speed goes, but they rolled very true.
We played the gold tees for this tournament, which are only 6,300 yards, so this was kind of a short layout for me. The black tees are about 6,800 yards, and if I was playing this on my own I would probably pick those tees instead, as they would provide a bit more of a challenge for me.
There are houses on just about every hole, which can be a deterrent, but the neighborhood around this course was pretty nice.
I'd definitely play this course again, so I can recommend it to anyone who is considering it and on the fence.
I will also say that the only food available was at the snack bar, as this club is looking to lease out the clubhouse to a local restaurant. Not really sure how that will work. There is also a bad upstairs in the clubhouse, but your food is definitely very limited.
The staff were very friendly, and you could tell that they take pride in this golf club, as they went out of their way to make you feel welcome.
Long course
I said the course was long because some of the other course we play in the area have a Tee-it-forward. Not because of my handicap but because of my age. My husbands forward tee is right by mine, no advantage. On the Tee-it-forward courses I have a 20 handicap. On this course it is a 35 handicap, yuk.
Exceptional Course!
My husband and I visit this area once a year for beach and golf. We had never played this course before. We LOVED it! I am more of a beginner at only playing 8 years and my husband is a novice at 35 years plus. . The course was in tip-top shape and we have played courses here in Nashville that were not near in good as shape but have been charged more You cannot beat the course or the value. We will be back... again and again.
Long and great course
This is one of the best courses to play in our area. The only drawback is they don't have a tee-it-forward and for a 71 year old female it is long. I accept that I'm not going to have a low score and I go out and have fun.
Great course
Good course but missing the restaurant they use to have
The Club at Hidden Creek
Narrow fairways - quick greens - very challenging - worth it all - would go again.
Fast,fast greens!
First off I always enjoy playing this course it's a little out of the way but it's worth the drive. The rains are in real good condition front nine was very quick back nine a little bit slower on the greens but well taken care of. Whoever is reading this I hope this helps you have a great day on the links.
