Belle Terre Country Club

        About
Belle Terre Country Club in La Place was carefully carved from the beautiful swamps of southeast Louisiana. The name, translated from French, means "beautiful land," a title that the terrain certainly lives up to. Pete Dye designed the golf course, utilizing the existing water features and mature trees to craft a layout that is both challenging and scenic. The back tees stretch to 6,849 yards, which will challenge the seasoned player while the forward tees make the course accessible for beginners. Water comes into play on 10 holes and there are also several strategically placed bunkers. Belle Terre Country Club boasts a nice mix of holes that will test a variety of different skills, from long holes where you can grip it and rip it to short, tight holes that demand accuracy.

The hole was damaged an inch around the entire hole. This wasn’t the worst one but just one that I took a picture of after being disgusted. Photo submitted by u000004947912 on 06/13/2021

What a great comeback!
This course has come back really well from Ida and the drought last year. 9/10
Points lost for how straight and vanilla rhe layout is. Also the greens are a little slow . Worth checking out!
Slow greens, uncut rough probably 7-8 days at least. Slight break to them bc it was a rainy week but still should have been better
Too much money for the condition of course
I was a member 25 years ago, it’s fallen way down since then, I regret to say
Hopefully they will try harder to get it in better shape
Roll the greens the course is a challenge, the greens require a therapy for putter reading, a lot of fun
Decent Golf Course
Greens are very slow. Need to be cut down so
Ball can get a true roll. Fairways are decent but not the best.
Lot of wildlife
The course was in good condition and had a lot of wildlife. The pace of play was gooid.
Saturday round
Pace of play was a little slow but not unbearable. Tee boxes were very hard to get a tee into. Fairways were firm but very playable. Greens looked good but were very slow. Overall with a little watering the course would be nice. Also, I saw very few bunkers that had rakes by them, what’s up with that?
Give this course another try
I understand that this course got horrible ratings soon after reopening from the Ida damage. I think they were in a rush and opened too soon. I played this course a couple of times before the hurricane and have played four or five times in the last few months. The course is in as good, if not better than before. For Golf Pass subscribers, with a discounted rate this is a good course for the money,
Give it another try.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the initial conditions post-Ida. Thank you for giving us another chance to impress you, and we're glad to hear you've enjoyed your recent visits.
Hot deal only course (at the moment)
Greens are basically unplayable. Sandy, bumpy, hard, zero checkup or spin. Fairways are pretty nice, bunkers were excellent. Hopefully in the summer this course will be in great condition. Hot deal allowed us to play for $23 which is a steal for any course in North America .
