TPC Louisiana

About
TPC Louisiana is situated just 15 minutes from downtown New Orleans but you'll feel like you're at a private nature reserve. When the golf course opened in 2004, Golf Digest ranked it as the fourth best upscale public, course and GolfWeek consistently ranks it in their list of "Best Courses You Can Play." As part of the Audubon Golf Trail, it stretches across more than 250 acres of wetlands along the Mississippi River delta. The TPC Louisiana layout will challenge you with more than 100 strategically placed bunkers and water hazards on several holes. Five different sets of tees allow players of all skill levels to enjoy the course. The PGA Tour tees are the longest, measuring a whopping 7,400 yards. The golf course finishes with its signature hole. For your final test you'll face a tough par 5 with water along the entire right side.

Just over seeded but good despite drought
Overall the course was in good condition despite the drought. Greens were furry from overseeing but rolled true and consistent. Pace of play was horrible due to two members using electric push carts. They held up two foursomes and myself and another player both walking for 12 holes. I suppose after I teed off the starter was sent home. He never rode the course. Starter was nice on the first tee and provided information.
Cart attendants did not offer service on arrival or departure. In fact I never saw one at the bag drop or podium. One came out to refill balls about 1030 and made a comment to me about why I was hitting on the far left side about 3 feet from the ropes but still in line with the pyramids. Tall white guy with facial hair I believe.
I heard the carts are new and have GPS which should help with speed of play for first timers.
Would definitely go back even though rates are too high for locals even during off season prep.
Beverage girl was super friendly and saw her probably six times. She stayed out there til 4pm. Sam in the golf
Shop was friendly. I shopped for about 15 minutes before someone greeted me after my round. Golf shop was full of merch and neatly arranged.
Some of the course workers driving the tank spraying cart had no course etiquette. Had to ask them to stop driving the cart path twice while trying to play hole 6. Saw one course worker with dreads on a phone by the bathroom on 12 and hadn’t moved by the time we reached 17 tee. Several of the bunkers were either soft and spongy or dry and beach sand like. Many were not defined with grass growing into the perimeters.
Did a golf trip to New Orleans. Learned on the way that the south has been experiencing a drought… and it showed. Though the course conditions at TPC Louisiana were much better than the other courses I played, I am still not going to rate or comment on the course conditions. I am certain that given normal rainfall this course would be in pristine, tour-quality, condition.
Things I Liked
- For the rate you pay, you do get top quality customer service. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful.
- The layout is excellent. Every tee shot requires your full attention. And although there is room to miss, you don’t want to miss much.
- A 3some let me, walking single, play through. Thank you!
- Spotted 4 gators out on the course. That’s always fun.
Things I Did Not Like
- Maybe “not like” is harsh, but I was surprised by the greens. They were smaller (not small, but smaller) and less undulating than I expected.
- And maybe I just didn’t walk in the right areas, but I recall wishing there were a few more yardage markers out in the fairways.
Thing Important to Me
- This course is very walkable, so much so that I would recommend not taking a cart. It is such a beautiful course to walk.
- There is a branded ball marker.
- There were water coolers, with ice makers, out on the course.
TPC Louisiana - A Golfer’s Paradise
TPC Louisiana is a golfer's paradise. From the moment you step foot on the pristine fairways to the final putt on the challenging greens, this course offers an unforgettable experience. The layout is thoughtfully designed, incorporating natural water features and strategically placed bunkers that add both beauty and difficulty to each hole.
The course conditions are impeccable, with well-manicured grass and well-maintained hazards. The fairways provide a generous landing area, allowing players of all skill levels to enjoy their round. The greens, true and fast, require a delicate touch and precise putting.
What sets TPC Louisiana apart is the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the bag drop to the pro shop, everyone is friendly, professional, and eager to assist. The attention to detail and the genuine care for the guests make the overall experience truly outstanding.
The clubhouse offers stunning views of the course and provides a relaxing atmosphere to unwind after your round. The amenities are top-notch, including a well-stocked pro shop and a restaurant that serves delicious and satisfying meals.
Whether you're a professional golfer or an amateur enthusiast, TPC Louisiana is a must-play destination. The combination of breathtaking scenery, challenging yet enjoyable holes, and exceptional service make it a true gem in the world of golf. I highly recommend this course for a memorable golfing experience.
Great course, great employees
One the best TPC. What a great service (Alex? pga pro). I didn't catch PGA pro name correctly. But this was an excellent experience that I wouldn't mind paying for the course and employee courtesy. I have played TPC Cromwell and it was horrible experience. It felt like like mad max movie at Cromwell. But TPC Lou. and English turn and country club are must play in the area.
Great course!
Have to look out for the mosquitoes in the fall, however..😐
Loved up to expectations
Superb course as you’d expect with every aspect in great shape.
Just a shame a visitor from the U.K. has to pay double green fees
Immaculate
Better than when I was a pass holder pre ida.
Just fun to play.
Very nice place
I hadn't played this course in 10 years because of its price. I can't afford $150 rounds very often. Imagine my surprise when a $46 hot deal popped up. It was for a 11a.m. tee time in 100 heat, but who cares. This is a 1st class experience from the get go, from bag pick up on. You are provided with a very nice range with virtually unlimited balls, too bad it was so hot and I didn't want wear myself out. The greens were aerated but smooth, fast, and true. Fairways and tee boxes also great. The only problem was a couple of extremely slow groups in front of us that the Marshall should have done something about. I enjoyed playing here and hopefully I can find another hot deal to bring me back.
An absolute steal on a tee off special
Course was not at all busy and in fabulous condition. The normal rates were above my normal budget but the special deal made it a day to remember. Fairways were like carpet and the greens good and true. I wish I hadn’t found 2 of Mr Dye’s pot bunkers!!
Even after a heavy rain…
The course was glorious. The greens were tough,(wish other golfers repaired their pitch marks). Everything was great! Can’t wait to play it again!
Great condition Kind staff
First time playing here
Course condition was 10 out 10
I will come back again if I live close by
I m from cali and came to Louisiana to play this TPC course
Had great time
Enjoyed the course
Summer time
The course is in great shape. Greens and fairway are in perfect condition. Some greens have a lot of divots that weren’t fixed.. golfers need to do better. Other than that it’s was a nice day
