About
Belle Terre Country Club in La Place was carefully carved from the beautiful swamps of southeast Louisiana. The name, translated from French, means "beautiful land," a title that the terrain certainly lives up to. Pete Dye designed the golf course, utilizing the existing water features and mature trees to craft a layout that is both challenging and scenic. The back tees stretch to 6,849 yards, which will challenge the seasoned player while the forward tees make the course accessible for beginners. Water comes into play on 10 holes and there are also several strategically placed bunkers. Belle Terre Country Club boasts a nice mix of holes that will test a variety of different skills, from long holes where you can grip it and rip it to short, tight holes that demand accuracy.

Amenities
Everything was great. However food and drink prices were overpriced. Overall this course is the best value in the surrounding area.

Getting there
This was my first time playing the course since reopening. Based on the early reviews I read, I would say the course has come a long way. Fairways were great, the greens somewhat slow, but playable. A few greens are spotty with some sand in spots. I was happy to see that the driving range is open. The rough is pretty gnarly (no problem if you hit it in the fairway!)
All in all I was very happy with the experience and glad to see that the course is playable again since I and a friend from New Orleans like to meet there and play.

Excellent Value
Greens were absolutely perfect. Fairways were on par with expectations for pricing. All carts were clean and well stocked. Overall excellent experience. We will be back

Laplace Course
Overall the course was playable, most greens were good though slow. Tee boxes required a huge effort to put a tee in the ground. I played with the golf now deal for 35.00 which is what would be the acceptable price as regular price. They have the regular price at $60.00 which will not make people come to play the course. Many course in much better condition are cheaper or in excellent condition. They literally have 5 groups playing on a Friday? Overpriced, course was once in better shape for a way cheaper rate. They just reopened a few months back, great layout etc but not good enough course conditions for the price !

Took a peek
On my way back to NOLA after playing in BR, I decided to stop by to check out greens. #2 & #11. They looked fairly good. They were sanded with grass a little longer than what would be normal. Ball rolled nicely. Like many places, it needs RAIN. I'd say an inch a day for 7 days would be great. I'll be back, but I'm gonna wait until September...when it's cooler... I hope.

Greens sanded
Greens still suck. Fairways in nice shape. Needed a hammer on some tee boxes. Won’t be back anytime soon.

Friday Morning Golf
This was my 2nd time playing since the course reopened. I don't have any complaints on this course, minus there might not have been water available. There was a cart lady and the range was open. The greens are looking better and some of them still have some minor repairs going on. This is a nice course, with a great layout.

Finally Back
So glad the course opened back up. The greens are fantastic (although a little fast) , and the layout of the course makes for a very fun round. Not too difficult for an intermediate golfer like myself. I will definitely be playing there again in the future. And the course manager (?) couldn't have been nicer to me.
