Reston National Golf Course

First, thanks to Reston National for adhering to and exceeding social distancing guidelines. Without those I would not have played. Bring your own drinks and snacks. No concessions because of virus rules. Even checking was without human interaction. You must book and pay in advance.

Condition of course was excellent for early season. Greens very fast. Fairways green and mowed fairly. As per rules, no rakes in traps, but sand is maintained.

Pace was good because they schedule gaps between tee times to keep teams from crowding.

With all this COVID-19 news its was great o escape today and play Reston. Great course in great condition! Simply fantastic course

You take what you can get during these times but this was a nice surprise. Played in 3.5 hrs, staff is working hard to keep everything safe. Course was in good shape; just some bumps on the greens. Overall, great to get out. Course is in good shape.

Great course conditions, we love playing walking, I was very impressed how they handle the sanitation during the game for the COVID19. They really assure that all golfers will fallow the regulations by maintaining the distance among players and by no touching the pin. WORDS OF ADVISE FOR PLAYERS: You will find a lot of balls and tees lost along the course. DO NOT PICK THEM UP OR TAKE THEM. During this time we should not pick them just because they are in good conditions and great quality.. Keep yourselves safe and enjoy your game in this fantastic course.

Played 9 of 18 planned holes (Rain outburst & washout). Covid 19 protocols well in place, no problem in getting riding cart as a single. Greens still a bit bumpy from recent aeration.

My first time playing this course on April 4, 2020. Excellent layout. You will be rewarded for a good shot and punished for a bad one. Course was in excellent condition. Greens a little bumpy as they were aerated two weeks prior, but they rolled really well. I'm sure the greens are really fast in the summer. Fantastic practice area with plenty of targets to work on the short game. Green to tee distance makes this an excellent course for walking. I will be back...and soon.

Thanks for being open. We felt safe and the course is practicing strict social distancing measures. And as usual the layout was fun to play. Thanks again for allowing a little respite in these difficult times.

Took an overnight trip from Pa.

Set up for safety was great

Course was in great shape and seems challenging for all handicap(I'm a 16)

For the state of the world at the moment this was a refreshing trip.

Pace of play was very adequate for the conditions we're in wasnt rushed at all and never had to wait more than 7 minutes up until about #16 but even then didnt mind.

Looking forward to a return trip when things are normal and maybe even sooner depending on how long this lasts.

Highly recommend if the corona got you down. Even people living around the course were very friendly

Reston National is one of the two courses I live closest to, but I usually only play it once or twice a year. From what I remembered the pace was always terrible and condition hadn’t been great for a couple years. They recently switched to ten minute tee-time intervals and that made the round flow much better than it had in the past. I played in 3 hours and 45 minutes, with an early morning tee time on a Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised! The condition on the other hand was disappointing. I’ve been playing here for five years and it seems to get worse every year. Granted, it’s early in the season and such but I really hope they can get it back to what it was condition-wise.

Staff was helpful and the course was in rear condition

We golfed yesterday and there was a frost delay. The staff was so accommodating and had us going off both front and back nines as soon as possible. The other thing that is super about Reston is their 10 minute tee time intervals. You never have to wait and the game flows much more nicely. The people there are fantastic, right down to the cook!!! I've been taking lessons there for years and it has helped me tremendously.
