Nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains, Mountainbrook Golf Club offers a player-friendly course with beautiful views of mountains and desert hills. Given its location, the golf course is mostly flat, making it a nice walk. The layout combines that of a desert course and a mountain course for an interesting variety of holes and challenges. The fairways are relatively wide and some are lined with trees and the fairly large greens are sloped and fast. Sand bunkers are situated throughout the course and two lakes create water hazards that come into play on the back nine. Mountainbrook Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 16th, which has a dogleg left fairway and a green that is well guarded by bunkers and mounding.

Great time

Really enjoyed this course. The layout of it was really neat. Each hole had it's own space. Rarely did you see parallel fairways. Friendly staff and GREAT food/drink prices.

What a Gem

A must play for me when I'm in the south phoenix area. Pace of play was great, staff was awesome and accommodating. Course was is in great shape when we played. The fairway and roughs are cut well. The greens are not that difficult. Really males for a wonderful round or two of golf here. The views of the superstitious mens. Is gorgeous! Can't wait to play again.

Hidden value within Gold Canyon

Tucked between homes, the fairways can get a bit tight, but challenging as well. For 61 bucks with the Hot Deals, worth the round. Staff was great, pace of play was great, along with actual grass range. Conditions were spotty, greens slow and very stiff but that’s getting to that time of year again. Rough was cut down and patchy with crabgrass. Tee boxes were in great condition though.

Would definitely play again.

Overall a good golfing experience; took a little over 4 hours to complete 18 (a little long IMO) and greens were in good condition (some bunks mud/cess pits); cart gal came around regularly and was friendly. Golf cart was clean and had no issues other than there being some leftover trash. I’ll be back for sure.
