Nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains, Mountainbrook Golf Club offers a player-friendly course with beautiful views of mountains and desert hills. Given its location, the golf course is mostly flat, making it a nice walk. The layout combines that of a desert course and a mountain course for an interesting variety of holes and challenges. The fairways are relatively wide and some are lined with trees and the fairly large greens are sloped and fast. Sand bunkers are situated throughout the course and two lakes create water hazards that come into play on the back nine. Mountainbrook Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 16th, which has a dogleg left fairway and a green that is well guarded by bunkers and mounding.

Course was still in good conditions but bunkers were under construction. Early tee time so no drink cart but greens still looked good and fairways were green.

Great mountain views on a fun course to play.

This course is a fun course to play for all skill levels, just pick the tees that suit your skill level. It has some fairly easy holes and some that challenge you. Several of the sand traps were under repair, but the starter did tell us that before we started our round. Wasn't a negative for us. We just took a drop outside of any bunker that we were in. All of the staff that I dealt with were extremely nice and pleasant. Nice to be treated like they want you there.

Overall

Nice overall. Greens were a little slow, but the ball rolled well. Some bunkers has no sand, however, found out later they are in the process of reworking/fixing the bunkers.

Generally good but starting to dry out

So they have been plugging the fairways and rough and filling some thin spots with the plugs.

There is a crew removing sand from the bunkers so much needed work has started there. We played them as GUR. Glad to see this happening.in a timely fashion.
