Nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains, Mountainbrook Golf Club offers a player-friendly course with beautiful views of mountains and desert hills. Given its location, the golf course is mostly flat, making it a nice walk. The layout combines that of a desert course and a mountain course for an interesting variety of holes and challenges. The fairways are relatively wide and some are lined with trees and the fairly large greens are sloped and fast. Sand bunkers are situated throughout the course and two lakes create water hazards that come into play on the back nine. Mountainbrook Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 16th, which has a dogleg left fairway and a green that is well guarded by bunkers and mounding.

Enjoyable Course outside Phoenix

Mountain Brook has a nice layout, challenging holes but fair. Greens were in great shape, ball rolled well and true.

Members are of the older crowd which means you better bring your golf etiquette. Hit a tee shot and pushed it slightly right but not enough to call it a slice. The ball lands about 50 years from a tee box and the olddies came rolling up yelling at me talking about I need to yell fore and that they won’t let this stand. when it’s them who should use the golf $$ on new glasses bc I wasn’t even close enough to them that required a fore call. Other than this great course n will be back again

Location is east of Tempe/Mesa, but worth the drive. Nice layout, well maintained course, nice pace of play and friendly staff.

Starter was havoc bad day!

Nice course and in good shape, some of the newer sod close to the greens were not allowed in good shape.

Friendly staff and great amenities.

Except the starter. He was not in a good mood.

Nice views and great greens.

Course is OK. Was hoping it would be a nice little brother to Gold Canyon GC since they're so close in proximity, but definitely not similar. $125 for late Friday afternoon here is WAAAYY over-priced. Playing partners paid $70, which is about the upper edge of 'acceptable' for a Friday afternoon this time of year on this course. It rained 2 days earlier, and 75% of the bunkers were water hazards, so drainage is an issue. Didn't see a marshall once to keep pace of play up.. took 4.5hrs and barely finished before dark. Not sure I'll go back, but if I do, it'll have to be a MUCH better value.
