About
Nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains, Mountainbrook Golf Club offers a player-friendly course with beautiful views of mountains and desert hills. Given its location, the golf course is mostly flat, making it a nice walk. The layout combines that of a desert course and a mountain course for an interesting variety of holes and challenges. The fairways are relatively wide and some are lined with trees and the fairly large greens are sloped and fast. Sand bunkers are situated throughout the course and two lakes create water hazards that come into play on the back nine. Mountainbrook Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 16th, which has a dogleg left fairway and a green that is well guarded by bunkers and mounding.

Beautiful Golf Course - Worth Playing
At 7:30 a.m. t-time, we had no delays, before or during the round (2 hr.45 min round. one walker/one rider). The views around the golf course are breath-taking & the course & clubhouse inside are very clean & well-taken care of. The starter was very friendly & gave me a ride from one end of the bldg where I was walking towards hole #1 before our scheduled t-time. The sand-traps need some more sand & there were drops of foam in a line with whatever vehicle they drove over the green earlier that hasn't evaporated or dissolved while playing the round. I thoroughly enjoyed my round & will return whenever we can swing it.

Good Starter Course
Thoroughly enjoyed our round.
Check in was fine.
With the small frost delay, definitely professional to announce who was up next, as well as on deck.
Good assortment of holes. Tee boxes not bad and the greens rolled true.
Pace was not a factor at all, just over 4 hours.
This was our first course to play during our week stay.
Good value for the $$$.
Great job with the frost delay.
We were pleasantly surprized that there was very little delay after a very frosty morning. They were able to start the sprinklers on the greens and fairways to allow play and we were only cart path only for 1 hole. The course played well and the greens were quick and tricky. The nines were totally different a d made you hit targets on the back nine. Great experience.
Great course in the Gold Canyon area
Nice course, We made our own tees for play.
Play Blue Tees on all holes with the exception of hole 3 and 9 on front and 15 and 18 play the RED.
Like the course - Greens roll good.
Would like to see a little work on the Traps.
The rough is a little packed with grass in dormant season.
Number 18 is a tough finishing hole with forced carry to back hole location.
Number 16 is short Par 5, But very tricky green with a front hole location
Great condition.
The course was in great shape. The Starter was friendly and helpful. Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and greens near perfect. Restaurant hamburgers and ice-cold IPA beer and very friendly staff. Perfect day. It maybe my favorite course.
Excellent service and enjoyable layout
From the check in, to lunch, to the starter to the marshal, the staff was friendly, considerate and helpful. Nice layout and reasonable compared with other courses Worth the few extra minutes drive and will definitely play on next trip to the valley.
Teed off at 8:30 due frost delay. We were 1st ones on the course.. The course is in great shape and the views fantastic very nice course.. Got a great deal on GolfNow. I hope it comes up again for same time and price!!!
