Nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains, Mountainbrook Golf Club offers a player-friendly course with beautiful views of mountains and desert hills. Given its location, the golf course is mostly flat, making it a nice walk. The layout combines that of a desert course and a mountain course for an interesting variety of holes and challenges. The fairways are relatively wide and some are lined with trees and the fairly large greens are sloped and fast. Sand bunkers are situated throughout the course and two lakes create water hazards that come into play on the back nine. Mountainbrook Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 16th, which has a dogleg left fairway and a green that is well guarded by bunkers and mounding.

Perfect front road block on the back.

Had such a great front which is the back. Then stalled on the back. sub 40 front, mid 40's back couldn't keep the groove going through the delays

Great Conditions at MBGC

Had not played at Mountain Brook for six months. With new owners taking charge, course was in excellent playing condition, noting it is still summer in AZ. Much excess grow around lakes were fully cleared, with large rock treatment placed along water’s edge; tee boxes leveled; green sizes reduced to add to challenge; sand traps properly filled with real sand (not gravel). Note that front nine and back nine have been reversed, making the #1 handicap hole now the finishing hole. Pace was fabulous, as no one else appeared to be on the course when our threesome was there. Value was also very good. The only (minor) issue was that the greens were a bit slow, but that should be resolved shortly. GO NOW AND ENJOY A ROUND HERE! BTW: starter was very sociable and friendly.
