Mountain Brook Golf Club

I have played this course many times. Yesterday was the worst. The fairways are painted dead grass. For $120 i would expect to have good live grass. Greens were good but rest of course very poor. Its a shame they feel the need to misrepresent their course and over charge.

Great course! Super views user friendly and all round enjoyable round. Pace of play was exceptional!! Will return!!

Played Mountain Brook on New Years Eve for the first time in many years. The course is in good shape and the greens are a good speed. What ruined a good day was the pace of play. The group in front of us was very slow. I called the pro shop and asked if they could send the marshal out to check on things. The marshal was quick in responding and when we spoke, he informed me the group was two holes behind. He stated he asked them to speed up and that he was leaving for the day. I asked why he simply didnt get them to go to where they should be and there was no response. Things continued to be slow and the course was completely backed up. New Years Eve and everybody wants to finish the round and do other things. Disappointed that the situation wasnt rectified.

Course offers great views of the Superstitions. Course in pretty good condition for the most part.. Greens running nice, not super fast. Stay out of the traps. They still need to fix their water fountain after the 3rd hole!

Enjoyed the course. Not a bad track. Backnine water hazards were a challenge. All good.

First off we heard they were launching tee times every 7 minutes.....got stacked up many many time. Second the course is probably in the worst shape I have seen it since playing many times over the years, tee boxes were beat up with bald and brown spots, fairways were thin, cut short, blad spots and hard as a rock, off the fairways was cut short and hard as a rock. Bunker were very inconsistent and the greens were splotchy....I was told by marshall that there has been water restrictions and obviously there has been some disease on the course and to cover it up they are painting the fairways......this is not worth the 100 plus with the price going up next week. I would pay 50 bucks to play it, not sure what has happened for them to let it get this run down but will not be back anytime soon and these reviews from yesterday have to be false or they were blind? Were they even open on Christmas, STAY AWAY.

Interesting course. Personal unique and a pleasant experience

The pace of play was slower than normal due to a group of 4 had 3 carts and the group was very slow on the course.

Always enjoy this course, great views of the mountains and greens and fairways Always well kept. Would recommend this course.
