About
Nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains, Mountainbrook Golf Club offers a player-friendly course with beautiful views of mountains and desert hills. Given its location, the golf course is mostly flat, making it a nice walk. The layout combines that of a desert course and a mountain course for an interesting variety of holes and challenges. The fairways are relatively wide and some are lined with trees and the fairly large greens are sloped and fast. Sand bunkers are situated throughout the course and two lakes create water hazards that come into play on the back nine. Mountainbrook Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 16th, which has a dogleg left fairway and a green that is well guarded by bunkers and mounding.

Unfriendly starter
My 2some arrived 40 minutes early for a 12:07 tee time on Nov 17th. The tee box was empty with no one in sight on first 2 holes. and no one on the box, on deck or anywhere to be seen. Asked the starter if we could tee off early noting we wouldn’t hold anybody up and the nearest group in front was at least 3 holes ahead. The starter was not engaging and refused to let us go. We drove the cart down to hole 2 where there used to be a practice bunker - we didn’t know it was no longer available. A staff person chased us down and demanded we go back, again, not friendly or engaging. We ended up waiting 45 minutes to tee off and and were behind a slow group. There wasn’t another group in front of them as far as we could see. Very disappointing and will definitely negatively influence my decision to play here again.
Mountain Brook GC in GREAT Condition
From tee to green, the course was in very good condition. Greens rolled well and true. Sand traps were with good depth of soft sand. Playing conditions were excellent on the day played. Pace was fabulous (3:40) for our threesome (with me walking). With a Hot Deal secured, this round was definitely value-for-money. Get out there soon to enjoy a wonderful round of golf.

Play alittle slow but expected this time of year
Course in pretty good condition
Tractor tire marks on many greens
Decent course but I don’t know what they drove on greens but huge stripes of grass that’s bumpy and dead looking on most greens. Two huge lines, we couldn’t figure out what type of equipment is that big. After first nine never saw a ranger, waited to hit almost every shot on back nine. Wait a month to play it.
