Love the course and the scenery is very nice but…

So not sure what or where the problem lies but I feel they are over booking or tee times are too close together. Our tee time was 1:30 and they want you done in 4 hours and if not you are expected to stop playing and get your carts in by 5:30. Then at 5:20 someone from pro shop came out to remind us that carts need to be in by 5:30. We asked him where the Marshall was all day cause the group in front of us was very slow. He said he was out there. Not sure where cause we never saw anyone. (Not even a beverage cart)

Really feel they need to reevaluate there tee times because with what they are charging to golf who doesn’t want to get there 18 holes in.

We had an early afternoon tee time…plenty of time to play within their designated 4 hrs or less before sunset.

We waited on every shot. I don’t think it bodes well when on every par 3 there were 3 groups. One on the green and 2 groups waiting. This happened on the front as well as the back. When our 4 hrs were up we still had 3 holes to play. Then we were told the carts had to be in at 5:30. It was. 5:30 with 3 holes to play. So, we did run to finish the last 3 wholes as the groups in front of us quit. Played the 3 holes in 15 min, and there was 4 in our group.

Not once did we see a Marshall out there to explain the delays. This was a Thursday, I’d hate to see pace of play on the weekend.

The staff in the shop and starting area were very friendly.

Front nine appeared to be green, back nine had very poor fairways that were painted green. All sand traps are different some sand, a lot of sand, no sand. I live on the course and have never seen this so bad. They are not watering the back nine.

Teed off at 2:22, took 2.5 to play front 9, waiting 5-10 minutes in every hole. There was no ranger out enforcing their 4 hour or less pace of play and clubhouse said they would do nothing about it. Don’t waste your time on a course with horrible customer service and 7 minute tee times.

Greens are getting bad coarse is in rough spend 20-30 more and play Sidewinder

I have played this course many times. Yesterday was the worst. The fairways are painted dead grass. For $120 i would expect to have good live grass. Greens were good but rest of course very poor. Its a shame they feel the need to misrepresent their course and over charge.

Great course! Super views user friendly and all round enjoyable round. Pace of play was exceptional!! Will return!!

Played Mountain Brook on New Years Eve for the first time in many years. The course is in good shape and the greens are a good speed. What ruined a good day was the pace of play. The group in front of us was very slow. I called the pro shop and asked if they could send the marshal out to check on things. The marshal was quick in responding and when we spoke, he informed me the group was two holes behind. He stated he asked them to speed up and that he was leaving for the day. I asked why he simply didnt get them to go to where they should be and there was no response. Things continued to be slow and the course was completely backed up. New Years Eve and everybody wants to finish the round and do other things. Disappointed that the situation wasnt rectified.

Course offers great views of the Superstitions. Course in pretty good condition for the most part.. Greens running nice, not super fast. Stay out of the traps. They still need to fix their water fountain after the 3rd hole!
