Kino Springs Golf Course
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 2021.
Surrounded by acres of gently rolling hills studded with native mesquite and oak trees, Kino Springs Golf Course has a stunning location along the Santa Cruz River. Savvy birdwatchers know that it's a major flyway where you can see flycatchers, orioles, kingfishers, and grey hawks. The course is part of the historic Estancia Yerba Buena Ranch, which has hosted an impressive guest list over the years that includes John Wayne and Elizabeth Taylor. The golf course is player friendly enough for beginners but it has enough risk-reward opportunities to appeal to low handicappers. The opening holes play across open meadows but by the fifth hole you'll find yourself in canyon country. Mature pine trees frame Kino Springs Golf Course's last five holes but the views from the elevated tees stretch past the treetops to the scenic river.

Great Golf
This course was in Great Shape, the greens were fast and smooth. Lots of fun to play. The course has great
views of the mountains, lots of elevation changes, and
some challenging holes. Kieth does a great job in the pro shop and adds to the experience.
Fall at Kino Springs
Course is in great condition, some greens have small ruff spots. Very playable. More crowed than I have seen in past fall seasons but the ranger kept play moving.
Good value for a average player.
Play this course
Kino is a great value for your dollar! Th green are always in excellent shape.
Great bang for the buck
My wife I& I have played numerous times. The course seems to improve eack round, not that our play does. All but a couple of greens are in great shape as is the course overall! Concidering joining..
best condition in years
Everything was great. Restaurant needs to have a bar not just table service
Course in great condition
Best chape in years
For a very reasonable price, this course provides a great challenge and is in great shape. Greens are true and fast. recent rains had them hold very well.
Great Course and Great Views
The rain has brought the course back to its full glory. Greens were excellent and holding incoming shots. Green speed was very good and lines held. Tee boxes and fairways in great shape, but needed some mowing in places, but understandable due to the rain the course received. Bunkers could use some tender loving care. Pace of play was great and supported an excellent round of golf. One of my very favorite courses given the variety of holes and shot making required.
Love this course
I knew we were going to like this course. I'd heard from a friend that while it is a challenging course with beautiful scenery and in great shape. That was exactly what we experienced. The staff was very friendly, brought the cart to our car and loaded the clubs for us. After finishing the round they met us at the car and unloaded the clubs into the car. Fantastic day of golf!
Course has great views
It was in good shape considering they were getting ready to overseed.
Fun play with gorgeous views
This was a revisit to Kino Springs. Had not played there for several years due to a golf hiatus from a back injury. The course is hilly. Walking is really not an option. Some very challenging holes requiring target placement with small bail out areas. Work your way from the flatlands through a canyon and then back down again. Just a great variety and a lot of fun. Although it had rained hard the evening before, the course was in good condition and has excellent drainage.
Great day on the course
Although I had the trees swallow 2 of my balls I had a great relaxed round with a colleague which is what we both needed. It was hard to beat the price and I enjoyed the relaxed pace I could play at and we still finished in less than 4 hours.
great course,great staff
From the minute I pulled my car into pkg lot, staff was super friendly. Guy pulled up and offered to take me to first hole after I checked in. Beverage lady even made her own burritos , yummy and very reasonable. Greens and fairways in great shape. Wide open, not a lot of trouble as long as keep fairly straight. At about 5800 yd, it's very reachable for a old duffer like me who doesnt hit it as far as I used to. I played from white tees. Great scenery, lush green hills. Other players we met were locals, very friendly. Can't wait to go back.
Nice surprise
I wanted to get in 18 holes without driving to Tucson I live in a small town 15 miles from this course and never ever considered playing it. But $10 from GolfNow on a Sunday with cart made me curious and what a nice surprise. The people there are so nice and the refreshment cart came by 3 times . I am really looking forward to playing it again and knowing I don't have to drive over an hour to do so. I gentleman met me at my car to load my clubs on the cart never had that happen to me in Tucson. All courses this time of year in Arizona are Iffy but this one was in better shape than some. So if you are in this area you won't be disappointed, give Kino Springs a go.
Monsoon Green and Lush
The course was in very good shape reflecting the monsoon rains recently received. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape except for a few spots where due to wetness they could not mow. The greens were in great shape, but were putting much slower than the last time I played. Sand traps were not in good shape with very little sand and mostly hard pan causing great difficulty in playing a sand shot. Overall the course played very well and reward good shots.
I like it a lot
Need a marshañ to hurry up the players in front of us
Excellent afternoon
Our day started off when we pulled in and was greeted by one of the staff to help load our carts and make sure we were ready for our round. the course was in really good shape and the greens ran smooth and true. This was a relaxing round for my sons and a buddy and myself.
Nice Course
Coming from the North playing any course in March is great. Enjoyed the course. Pretty wide open, not much trouble any hole. Fairways are wide and hard with lots of roll. On most approaches to the green you can probably go down a club unless you can make the ball stick as the ball will roll a long way
After the Monsoons
I've played the course many times and always enjoy it. The monsoon rains really did help the tee boxes and fairways, albeit some are still rough in places. The greens are in excellent shape and putt well although somewhat slower due to the recent rains and softer greens. This is a great value for a golf course that provides varying shot considerations as elevation changes occur.
Great deal
This course is challenging but a lot of fun to play. Greens are nice fairways are good but sand traps are very compacted. overall a very good day
ONE OF THE BEST GOLF COURSES IN AZ
VERY GOOD GOLF COURSE, THE GREENS ARE BETTER THAN OTHERS IN TUCSON OR GRREN VALLEY
