Queen Valley Golf Course

Today was a great day. Good people and friendly environment. We went ahead and got the deal they have going to we will be back many times.

Queen Valley is located in close proximity to.Apache Junction and Superior. The pace of play could be improved, the greens are challenging because they are small but they need to be manicured which they were not but it was manageable. Carts are adequate but need updating. There is no chipping green available and there is no driving range. The clubhouse is only an office that offers merchandise and small choice of.snacks. Did not see a cart on the course serving refreshments. The overall course is unique and fun. This course is under new management and will continue to improve.

This review only references the front 9, as the back 9 was not open. As I recall from a previous visit, the back 9 is the better of the two. The front 9 was not in great shape, likely at least partly doe to the time of year. There was very little grass, but at least we were hitting off dirt rather than mud as I've recently experienced at other courses. It's a relaxed but not slow pace of play. We easily completed the front 9 twice in well under 3 hours. Shot accuracy is important because the fairways largely run parallel. Overall, it was worth the low green fees.

Fire everyone and start over. This course is simply unplayable and they simply do not care. Do not make the drive.

My son and I played this course Sunday morning and really enjoyed it, Stacy, who was at the front desk was very gracious some helpful people on the course were very nice and the course condition was a great value for the money

When we arrived at the course with prepaid Golf Now tee times we were told to go right out when we were ready. The front nine is very unimpressive. When we made the turn to play #10, there was no flag on the green. We went on to #11 and teed off to a dogleg green that is not visible from the tee box. Then another golfer came up to us and told us the back 9 was closed for maintenance. We then quit and went to the clubhouse and requested a rain check to come back another time when the course will be suitable for play. Rain check for 9 holes was granted.

Prepaid for golf with no knowledge of the back 9 being closed. We went right out when we got there. When we made the turn, there were no flags on the 10th hole. We played 10 and went on to 11 and after we hit another golfer came up and told us the back 9 was closed. We went back to the clubhouse and requested a rain check. Rain checks for 9 holes were issued.

Loved the setting. The greens are like army helmets hard to land on.

This course is only worth playing if it is your first time swinging a club. Don’t expect to pot because the green was nothing but divots and holes and sand.. They did hire a new superintendent to try to get the course back into shape but it’s gonna probably take a couple of seasons if you never played golf ever in your life maybe this is a good place since the teatime was only $18 so it’s not like a waste of money if you’re not able to hit the ball or finish I lost interest in keeping score but my wife had a great time since she never played before. FYI, the club rental was crap and it cost us as much to rent the clubs as it did the golf avoid this place until further notice.

We were welcomed even a little early and hit some free balls in driving cage. Course in really decent shape but greens recently plugged and still a little rough. No matter to my 10-year-old grandson. He enjoyed the first round so much we had to go again. Then it got hot. The course layout is perfect for a younger beginner golfer, plenty of room for mistakes and very forgiving fairways. Also, a good mix of par 3 holes as not to tire him with too many par 5 holes. Would recommend, a little drive but enjoyable.
