Mountain Brook Golf Club

Nothing to rave about. Got back up heavily at hole 10 with no site of ranger. Solid track with gettable holes

Given the challenges of the summer heat and NONSOON rain, these guys did well to keep it playable all summer. One of my favorites.

I came with eight players, and every one of us of the eight players enjoyed the golf course. It was fantastic. I would recommend it. Everything went smooth. People were great in clubhouse and the off side amenities were fantastic.

Course was in good condition, pace of play was good and had a fun day out. Thank you!

Course is in great condition for Summer. I would recommend this course for sure.

the greens were slow but not bad. Most fairways were very good

I scheduled a tee time with very little expectation. I found a decent time early Sunday. The course in general was great. Staff was friendly, helped get me to my partner I'd be riding with. Tee boxes and greens were in fantastic shape. Carr girl was seen plenty of times. Very polite. Finished the round just a shade over 4:15. We were making great time until we made the turn. We played through and caught a group that slowed the back down 45 minutes. Still very reasonable. Will definitely look to schedule a time to come back.

The greens had just been aerated within the last couple weeks. The greens are very very dry. Minimal water at best need to get those greens watered or you’re gonna loose them. One green actually started growing fungus and I know that sounds odd with the lack of water unless it’s a different type that I’m aware of with dry conditions Lots of irrigation replacement

They are diligently working on the course, especially on the sprinkler system!

On number 1 , I got to call “fore” as I smacked a cart 😜 (He was in my line from the tee box.)

The crew were all great and we just worked around each other!

Mountain Brook is a fun course with beautiful views.

We have played Mountain Brook several times in the past 5 years. The course’s condition, especially the greens the last 2 years were outstanding. Not the case yesterday. I understand the need to aerify in the summer months to reduce thatch and promote bermuda growth, but the healing process and having the greens playable was no where near what we had experienced in the past couple of summers. Many courses in the area have found better, less damaging methods of aerification and are able to get their greens back to normal playability. Mountain Brook has taken a giant step backward from previous practices. Very disappointed to pay for these conditions.
