Mountain Brook Golf Club

played this course many times as i find the layout fun. it is always in great condition but this round was an exception with a lot of brown & burn-out spots in the fairway. Greens were good.

Sand ok, the rest is drying out like most other golf courses. Prospector restaurant is great.

Played this course 3 times before and this was by far the worst out of the previous 3 rounds, Tee boxes where in horrible shape barely any grass that you could hit off. Greens where quick which had no problem with but the conditions of the greens where not int he best shape. The fairways where very spotty and hard as concrete. First 8 holes breezed through and once we caught up the pack pace of play dropped off pretty quick. They need marshals on the course to keep play moving faster. Back 9 we waited on every hold at least 2 groups before we could tee off.

We've played this many times and usually enjoy it, this time the course was in terrible shape. I know things are drying out with the heat, but this was worst I've seen it. We've played many courses the last couple of weeks and none of them were this bad. I hope things improve so we can go back.

Great Course. Course has some spots where summer change is in progress but nothing too big. Fair price , not crowed & beautiful views .

Some water and heat ought to fill things in better but it’s very playable. We went off at 10:15 on a 106* day and were wilted by 2pm. Still plenty of fun.

We normally love this course. Not in the condition it is now very short cut & dry.

Had not played Mountain Brook in over a year so was looking forward to playing. Was very surprised how scarce the grass was in the fairways. At $115 I expected the course to be in pristine condition. Greens were on the slow side. Lots of muddy areas throughout the course.

have played here quite a few times so i enjoy the layout. Greens in nice shape, fairways also in pretty good condition with only a few patches.

First the positives. The scenery is spectacular, and pace of play was excellent (3.5 hours for a foursome). We had a great time. Some fairways were dry, but nothing too extreme for this time of year. Bunkers were in great shape. The biggest negative was that the greens had been punched. Had I known that when booking, I may have gone elsewhere. The fact that I wasn’t even notified when I checked in was bothersome. The practice green wasn’t punched, so I didn’t find out until I was putting on the first hole. Disappointing.

I had fun golfing but much of the course was burned out. There are better options in the valley, but I did get a good rate/hot deal on GolfNow. Tees and greens were pretty well maintained.

This course is a good layout but the fairways are currently under watered and cut too short. Lots of foat dry spots throughout. Then you find some lower areas soaked and wet.

Courses conditions were very dry and the price they charge at this time of year is way too much.

Fairways were in scorched…rock hard conditions … greens were ok…some rediculous pin positions for a Monday
