Ranch at Tonto Verde Golf Club

About
The Ranch course at Tonto Verde Golf Club is the newer one, this golf course designed exclusively by Gary Panks, who laid it out over 6,988 yards, upon which it has played host to several golf events at the professional and amateur level since it opened in 2002.
The Ranch golf course at the Tonto Verde Golf Club serves power golfers due to the distance, though it will certainly test those who golf a good short, thanks to big greens that are bunkered well and slope, too.
The Tonto Verde Golf Club offers stay-and-play packages for those who don't want to lodge themselves too far from the Peaks and Rancho golf courses. Pets are generally welcome, and the minimum stay is only three nights.

Great views
Courses have spectacular views of the nearby Superstition Mountains. Layout of Peaks course is nothing special. Sand in bunkers was nonexistent. Greens rolled nicely. Good practice facility.
Good Test
Very well maintained with good bunker sand and fast greens. Rough a little deep for my liking Bermuda grass just able to hack it out in most places. Played the Peaks said to be more target oriented but found the fairways to be generous enough. GPS on carts was very accurate confirmed by measuring device and gave you a good indication on how to play the holes as you only needed to touch screen your desired landing area and it would give you carry distance line and remaining distance to hole.
Great Find
First time playing. There are two courses here. We played the Ranch course. It was recently opened after summer maintenance. Conditions were excellent. The course is a fun layout and playable for all levels. Long par 3, drivable 4. Generous landing areas.
Restaurant is great. Members and staff have made a very nice facility.
Scenic, value
Got a hot deal. Very nice course even in the dry, hot conditions. Greens still held and rolled well.
Good course for fast play in summer
If you want to play fast in the heat, this is a god course
Overall great course
Great round of golf on an excellent
Well cared for course. The players in front
We're very slow 4.5 hours with the course open in front of them. Not the courses
Fault. You will enjoy it.
Resort course
Nice course, but a long way out there.
No beverage cart
No beverage on course, and no one told us
Great courses and community.
Tonto verde is a top notch community and golf facility.
Great courses..great staff....great club house. And the views!!!!!!!!
good course, not great
A long drive for an ok course. very nice staff and course was in fine shape.
traps need more sand.
slightly overpriced so look for a special if you are going to make the drive.
Good value
This is a great layout and the conditioning is excellent. Start your day with lunch at the Mesquete Grille and you're in for a memorable experience.
Tonto is worth the drive
Club house and practice areas are gorgeous. Course is fun and filled beautiful views of four peaks.
Fun course
Not too challenging but had some elements of a challenging course. A couple blind holes that I would have played differently now that I have played it. Bunkers were in great shape, chip out for birdie on hole 13 which is true risk reward hole with a drive-able green. All in all, I would give this course a 5 star and would go back, if, it was under $100 per round.
Nice but not great
Nice range and putting set up, course is very tight outside of fairways. There is not a lot of room if you are not an above average player. Staff was great and clubhouse was awesome , incredible mountain views from just about everywhere . Very expensive if not found on golfnow , plus a pretty long drive from the valley. A great one time play but a lot of other courses just as nice
Course was in GREAT shape
I like playing this course the best in the Rio Verde area. Very well maintained and in great shape
last round of vacation
Range is great with good targets and plenty of balls. The putting green is large and not crowded plus puttable. Course looks tight at times but is very open off T and greens are very approachable. Not a lot of water but enough to make it interesting.
Go and use the putting course before or after your round for a treat.
Peaks Course - A great challenging layout
The Peaks Course was in excellent shape from tee box to green. It's a somewhat narrow layout but not bad if you play the proper tee box for your ability level. The greens are fast but you get a very true roll. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The Peaks Course ranks up there with any of the better north Scottsdale area tracks. Play it. You won't be disappointed.
Great Course
Have played TontoVerde Verde for three years now and love it. Will play there as long as they will let me. Ranch course is more fun but tougher.
immaculate conditions with great views
this is a very fine golf course. my only knock is after playing you'll be hard pressed to describe any of the holes as it is pretty much a vanilla layout. That said its a pleasure to play, the greens are perfect and overall conditions and ambience is great.
