Sedona Golf Resort
About
Nestled amidst the beautiful Red Rocks of Sedona, Sedona Golf Resort offers truly unique scenery. The golf course sprawls across elevations ranging from 3,960 feet to as much as 4,260 feet, a landscape that provides elevated tees, raised greens, tricky lies, and difficult approach shots. The dramatic elevations also offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The course winds in and out of the rock formations, giving each hole a unique character and scenery. It is not particularly long at 6,646 yards but the challenging elevated greens and winding doglegs make up for any lack of length. The sixth and the 10th are the signature holes but one of the most challenging holes comes earlier, the second. This hole really takes advantage of the Sedona topography, offering sight of the raised green but little else in front of it.

Spectacular views and a great layout. A must play course.
4th of July
Our tee time was 9:36am. after 4 hours we were only on 14 hole and we quit. The temp was 105. I believe there was a 4th of July tournament so a lot of players ahead of us having a good time. The golf course has no control over the weather. The tournament was for regulars and I cannot complain about them having a good time. Sedona Resort is a public course and slow play is an issue on public courses. I just did not want to pay $300 per person at 7 Canyons. We will come back.
Beautiful Course
Started playing before 7am. Course very wet in places. We were even caught by the sprinklers operating when we were trying to play. Not ideal. However, I always enjoying playing this course whenever we come to Sedona, which is often.
A must play in Sedona
Great golf with awesome views to go along with it. Course was in great shape especially the greens. Extremely friendly staff play was excellent. Temperature for the round was 100° but there was enough wind and shade to make the day very bearable
Not as good as last time
Played here several times when in the area. Its almost always slow play, but today it took 4 1/2 hours - way long!! Also for $100+ per person- we were not made aware that the greens were in terrible condition. Greens were recently aerated, and sanded - poorly.
Hopefully better the next time because its a great course otherwise.
Best condition course I played in AZ. Will play again and drive the 100 miles from Scottsdale.
Great course with stunning views
We played two days in a row, late afternoon without any pressure and had a great time. The views were stunning
The one suggestion would be to install displays at the tee-boxes with the hole layout , for those who don’t wear golf-watches
Resort golf at its finest
We got a mid afternoon tee time through GolfNow as it was the only time that we would consider affordable. Facility is top notch. Great service from the bag drop through the pro shop. Range is excellent and balls are included in the round (as they should be) Starter was very friendly Told us there were some groups out in front that were playing only 10 holes and that there was nobody behind us and we should sail through the last 8 holes. Also told us the beverage cart was out and that we should stock up when we see it as it would be the last trip of the day. He was correct about the groups in front. The first hole was empty when we teed off but caught the course on the second tee. Pace of play was resort like. We saw the bev cart on the third tee but it unfortunately turned to the back nine groups and ignored us altogether.. we were caught by a group by the 6th hole and pace remained slow. After 10, the course was our own and we finished in just over an hour which made up for the 2 1/2 hour front.
Course conditions were also resort like. They had just punched the tee boxes but that didn’t affect play. Greens were nice, but a little slow for my liking. Fairway and rough was quite long. Course layout is fun, Quite a few elevation changes.Scenery is stunning with the red rocks of Sedona visible from every hole. There are better and more affordable courses in the area but from a scenery perspective, this is a must play.
