Hard to beat it for the price. We paid 95 on GolfNow and it was during late September, which I think is still prime time. The staff was very helpful and familiarizing us with the course. I love the elevation, changes on many of the holes, especially the back nine. Not too hard but still challenging. There were a few spots on the course that looked like they needed some work, but nothing that caused a problem while playing. Greens were great as well as the fairways. I would definitely play this course again.

SGR used to be a high quality, top tier course. But the course was in fair shape. the bunkers had weeds growing out of them when they used to be white powder sand. There were players in Levis and tee shirts. There were babies running around in diapers and mothers changing their babies diapers on the sitting benches outside of the pro shop. It was like being at a 1 star municipal course. It was too much money for the value. Will never play there again!

Unbelievable views all around the course! Scenic as it can be! The course is in a perfect shape! This course is a must if you are in the phoenix area! It is a 90 minute drive that wont despoint you

This course is in the Oakcreek Canyon area of Sedona with lots of picturesque views of red rock formations. The tee boxes and fairways were well maintained. The greens were recently aerated that made putting extra challenging.

Undoubtedly a beautiful course wi8th stunning views but play this for the views and recast aura t not for the quality of the golf course. It was too wet and areas were churned up, they greens were very uneven and slow,possibly beacise they were aerated but even so were unable to predict.

Great and friendly staff. Course very wet this time of year due to rains. They did what they could to make it playable. Beautiful views every where. Course of play was great and marshaled.

Course itself was in good condition. It was a bit damp from watering this time of year. Greens were good, bunkers were a adventure.view was to die for.

Overall we had a great time.

The staff was friendly and the setting is amazing. However, much of the course was overwatered - even some of the tee boxes. I was expecting better turf conditions for what we paid. I don’t think we’ll return as it’s very annoying to be hitting from soggy turf.

I’m taking into account cost and all factors in writing this review. First, the positives… this place has one of the two best views for any course in the Sedona area. And that’s saying a lot. It’s my favorite thing about this course. The course layout is nice too. There’s a lot of variety in the different holes. It keeps your interest and is in no way boring.

I’ve played this course probably 5 times dating back around 15 years and I have to say that it seems like its best days are behind it. I’ve played it twice in the last year at different times of the year and it hasn’t been in good shape either time. The fairways have been soggy due to overwatering. The greens have lots of unrepaired pitch marks. The surrounding trees and shrubbery are not well cared for. The fairways are also shaggy as is the areas surrounding the bunkers. Bottom line… for a course that costs a premium price, I’ve seen far better. It almost seems like they hire a budget groundskeeper or something.

The first time I played this course maybe 15 years ago, it was the nicest course I had ever seen or played. In recent times it has been very disappointing. I expect more.

The course was in good condition. The greens were in great shape and very receptive from mid iron approach shots. Pace of play was slow due to a shotgun tournament that started before or tee time.
