Rating 70.8

Nestled amidst the beautiful Red Rocks of Sedona, Sedona Golf Resort offers truly unique scenery. The golf course sprawls across elevations ranging from 3,960 feet to as much as 4,260 feet, a landscape that provides elevated tees, raised greens, tricky lies, and difficult approach shots. The dramatic elevations also offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The course winds in and out of the rock formations, giving each hole a unique character and scenery. It is not particularly long at 6,646 yards but the challenging elevated greens and winding doglegs make up for any lack of length. The sixth and the 10th are the signature holes but one of the most challenging holes comes earlier, the second. This hole really takes advantage of the Sedona topography, offering sight of the raised green but little else in front of it.

Won’t be heading back

Nice views and compelling track however, the agronomy and hospitality staff were about the worst I’ve experienced. Greens were bumpy and poorly maintained.

5 hour round, rude maintenance staff.

If you want to wait on every shot, and have maintenance staff whiz by you in the middle of your backswing, this is your place. Didn't see a marshal all day.

Some of the bunkers are dirt only. The fairways are what you would expect this time of year.

Awesome

Such views!!!!! OMG… almost every hole. Breathtaking

Course in great shape. Staff all friendly except for 1 guy on the phone when I called to check on frost delay.

Clint and Brandon were awesome. Very welcoming, chatty with a smiling face.

Can’t wait to play there again; hopefully next year

Beautiful views, great AZ winter golf destination

For the money this was the best deal in mid March you can find for a full 18 that isn’t pushing running out of daylight in AZ. Beautiful views on most holes, though this will lead to some bottlenecks from people taking pictures and videos and reteeing on 10 for fun. We didn’t mind - it’s an incredible backdrop. Pretty speedy greens and slopes that take everything, but the greens were receptive enough to take spin without bouncing like rocks from the fairway or never checking on chips and pitches at Las Sendas (which I was still a big fan of). Honestly ideal greens for me. Great merch options in the pro shop, range is decent and included, staff is all friendly and helpful, and grill was good.

We come to AZ twice/year for work and stay in Scottsdale and we were happy to spend a night in Sedona to check the area out in the morning and play an afternoon round here before heading back into Scottsdale. I generally try to play 3x per trip and this was a great course at a great price. By no means cheap, but for winter AZ golf I would highly recommend playing here if the weather is nice in Sedona. The day before our tee time had snow and there was an hour frost delay the morning of our round so our tee time was pushed back from 1:24 to about 2:30. There were no signs it had been snowing and it was sunny and perfect out for us. But keep this the weather in mind if looking into Sedona.

Of the AZ courses I’ve played so far, I’d rank them 1) Dinosaur Mountain (Gold Canyon), 2) We-Ko-Pa Saguaro, 3) Sedona Golf Resort, 4) Phoenician, 5) Las Sendas, 6) Sidewinder (Gold Canyon), 7) Legacy, 8) Wildfire Palmer, 9) Rancho Manana, 10) Grass Clippings Rolling Hills, 11) Arizona Grand, 12) Continental

Amazing Views

Very nice course with amazing views. All around Sedona the views are great and there are a number of them on this course. The course was in nice condition. Good fairways and greens. You tee off and go uphill for nine holes and then play number 10 and start heading downhill back to the clubhouse. Make sure you have your camera with you, especially on hole number 10. I would play this course again the next time I was in Sedona. If you have a chance, play here!!

Great value in the winter

Played Sedona Golf Resort for the first time. Took the drive up from Phoenix, and it was a picture perfect day. Course is in pretty condition for February. Only complaints were pace of play (4 hours, 45 minutes) and only saw the beverage cart once (on hole 3). Since the course doesn't take you back to the clubhouse at the turn, that proved to be problematic.

Nice Track Outside Sedona

Sedona Golf Resort is a pleasant, well-kept course with positively STUPENDOUS views, especially on the back 9. The course is in good, not perfect shape, with scattered areas under repair and recent aeration of the fringes of some greens. Speaking of the greens, they are fast and almost all sloped back to front, severely in some cases, and I found them hard to read but true-rolling. Tee boxes are in good shape, as are the fairways and roughs. I would say it’s a little pricey for what you get, but not wildly out of range. We saw the food cart 3 times during our round, which is good because the track is up the hill the front 9 and down the hill the back, so no clubhouse food options at the turn. All in all, a nice fun round.

Happy 60th to my wife

We chose this course specifically on her birthday because it was the nicest of the three you reserved. It did not disappoint. Don’t trust your guys on putts😂. Use your irons on narrow fairways. Views are amazing.

Scenic Golf

Go and play this scenic course. Each hole has a different view for you to play and scene. The green 's are not only tough to play but make you wonder your capable of reading a green. A real pleasure not to mention the view. Fairways are wonderful to hit from but don't expect a lot of rollout.

Great Course with plenty of wildlife, four legged and winged.

Amazing Golf

This course is outstanding and so are the views. Greens will drive you to wonder how good you are at reading a green.Be prepared for quite a few hair pulling moment's. The fairways are great to play from and be ready to use every club in your bag during the round. Each hole will give you a different view of the valley as you climb the course. It was a cool and cloudy day when we took on the course but the views and golf was great. Book around and go and enjoy. If your score seems to be high don't worry the views make it worth your day of golf .

Way overpriced

I understand it’s winter conditions however the price should reflect the conditions of the course. Ground under repair on almost every hole.
