About
The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley in Tucson is so named for its stunning vistas provided by the nearby Catalina Mountains. The desert-inspired layout features a rolling terrain that blends in seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Trees dot the golf course and there is also an abundance of native cacti throughout. Designed by Greg Nash, the layout features large, rolling greens that are subtly elevated. The front nine meanders through dry washes and arroyos while the back nine snakes upwards to higher grounds. The back nine is more challenging than the front with more elevated tee shots and sharp doglegs. There is a small lake that comes into play and several strategically placed bunkers throughout. The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley also features a driving range and short-game practice area.

Wasted Round
Signed up on GolfNow. Arrive at course to be told they recently aerated. No such alert on GolfNow. Greens in pathetic condition. Putts bumped everywhere. Essentially unplayable. Fairways uneven, thin and bare in spots.
To top it off, groups in front of us unbearably slow. No fun waiting on every shot in 105 degree heat. No beverage cart either.
Unfortunate, because like the course layout.
The Views
Played in 4hrs and 10min. - course in good shape but greens very slow. Handled a lot of people well - starter bery good.
Overall Okay
All very good except they had a frost delay which complicated starting times and really jammed up the tee times. Many people seemed to be getting quite upset with the starter (members it seemed and were demanding preferential treatment). I am not sure if they were successful or not and will give the course a pass this time.Notwithstanding the starting time issue, the course was great and I have booked another game to play this course again in a couple of days.
Always in good shape
We get to The Views a few times and year and the course always looks good. It can be a challenging track but I would take that over an easier course that's hit-or-miss regarding its condition. The new clubhouse is in a good location and moving the practice ball machine to the range was a good idea. Nice to have a player assistant who pays attention and keeps the round moving.

Lush Fairways
If you are looking for a course with fairways like courses in the Midwest, look no further. Not only were the fairways completely covered with Bermuda, it was long and thick enough that you could easily get your club under the ball without going into the dirt. Green speed was inconsistent, but they had been punched recently. The trap sand was mostly wet and dense, a typical Tucson problem. There are several greenside grass bunkers - they should convert more to grass. Course design is challenging, requiring you to think about shot direction on almost every shot. All of this and we finished in less than 4 hours.

Outstanding Course
Great round of golf with some old work buddies. Course was prestine, starter “Gary”was very helpful also . Would definitely play here again, and the views of the Catalina Mountains were amazing...

Value personified
What a value. Great condition. Even after aeration, Greens rolled true. Many Tucson desert courses could take a cue or two from The Views. 3:48 playing time even while busy. Couldn’t care about the score.

The greens were great the bunkers had nice sand the fairways were a little spoty but they were working on them will play again

Played Monday with my Father in law who was in town visiting from Texas, Really enjoyed our round. You can tell that the course staff is working diligently on the course during these drought conditions. Fairways are dry amd greens are hard, I really like the layout and the staff is always friendly. Will play again soon, and can’t wait till the fall I’m sure it will be amazing with all the work and attention they are giving it this summer. Thank you!
