The 18-hole Celebration Golf Club in Celebration, FL is a public golf course that opened in 1996. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Celebration Golf Club measures 7038 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 140 and a 74.5 USGA rating. The course features 5 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are bermuda grass.

Father and son team of Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and Jr. created a golfing experience that is second to none at Celebration Golf Club. As a result, Celebration is a championship venue with the park-like feel of a modern, Florida course.

They were also successful in creating separate personalities between the nines. On the front, many holes border wide boulevards lined on the other side by pre- 1940 replicate homes from America's southern region and that of Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Caribbean. But with the back, the homes fade into the brush letting Mother Nature take center stage. Designed with shot-making strategy in mind, this championship caliber course demands accurate approach shots and consistent putting.

Great conditions

Great course first time playing staff are great greens and fairways spot on. Tee boxes were ok. Driving range into water not for me but it was in good condition.

tee time for 1:49 teed off at 2. finiished 9 at 4:38. Of course we couldn't finish. Waited on hole 3 for a half hour. cold day so that made it worse.

Great layout

The course is challenging, yet fair. There are multiple tee boxes for different skill levels. We played the back tees and the twosome we played with played the regular men’s tees. The pace of play was good, the greens in great shape, as well as the fairways and rough. The staff was professional and courteous. I recommend this course(my son is a 1 handicap and I’m an 8).

Florida Resident?

We go to the Orlando area often during the winter to take a break and golf.

We always play different courses but always include Celebration. Always in great shape, real nice course. My only complaint ever is the Karen in the pro shop making sure no one gets the Florida resident rate. The father - son I played with was declined because he didn't have a Florida License. He is a dual resident, his son plays golf for Celebration High School, but DECLINED with a smirk. I won't let it stop me from going there but beware of the Karen at the counter!

Best Conditioned Course In Orlando Resort Area

This course is a must play, in the best shape out of all the courses in the Orlando Resort area. It’s challenging but you won’t lose too many balls, plenty of different shots and setups make it interesting throughout the round. Staff and pace were top notch.

Celebrate

Finally a course in FL in December, under $100, that has a great practice facility, friendly staff and playing conditions that were above average. The course was challenging, in great shape, and pace of play was steady. I travel the East coast and play many courses, and seem to find exorbitant prices on courses in need of serious maintenance. Celebration may get crowded, but at least the course and staff seem to have a clue.
