Excellent Experience!!!
From the moment I stepped foot on the property, the staff members were extremely professional and welcoming.
Everything on the course was in pristine condition. The practice green was rolling true as I anxiously awaited my tee time. Additionally, the golf carts were clean, fully charged and stocked with the necessary essentials. Tee boxes were neatly manicured, fairways were flush and greens were in tour shape.
I have played golf at Penderbrook Golf Club a few times in the past... and I've gotta tell ya, during my most recent experience, the difference was Night vs Day! Shout out to Bryce and his staff for transforming Penderbrook into one of the most highly sought after golf clubs to play in the northern VA area. Highly recommend booking a tee time. You will not be disappointed!!!

Great afternoon round
Our foursome made it around Friday afternoon in less than 3.5 hours! Course is in great shape even with the heat. Really enjoy playing this fun layout, will definitely be back.

I really enjoyed playing this course. I was surprised I was able to play 18 holes all on my own (the twosome I was intended to tee off with arrived early) but I was very ok with that, and I guess it was a Monday morning. The course was stunning, conditions were great. It was one of the nicest courses I've played this season.

Sad the policy has changed
It used to be my go to course on short notice. They changed their cart policy without notice. When I got there I was informed I have to ride in a cart with a stranger (no prob riding with a friend or family member) or walk(which I can't) or put your bag on ,walk while the other rides...which seems like it would be hard to figure out. or pay 11$ extra to get my own cart. So basically I paid 2 cart fees. However, while standing there I saw a few others get their own carts with out paying extra. And not once did they ask the other person I was paired with about these options, somehow I was stuck with the bill. Doesn't seem fair. I've played as a single for decades (weekdays) and not once have I had to ride with someone I didn't know,but I guess during a pandemic they make you? Weird. Some other courses are doing the same(pleasant valley,south Riding)Seems like a money grab. The staff was friendly though, not rude about it. But yea, if you're a single call around else where to insure you can play safely and not be charged to play safely. My days of playing here are over unless I can convince a family member to play. Shame cause I love the course.

Unforgiving, short course
This course demands accuracy off the tee and fairway to green on almost every hole. If you can keep it straight and don’t hit it 330 yards like the pros - you can score well here, if not it’s going to be a long day looking for your ball.

Ray’s take
Friendly staff and a nice layout. I may be being harsh but course was in rough shape other than greens. Greens were nice but slow. I will say it was raining before and after 9 and that could have had a lot to do with conditions

Penderbrook golf course review
I teed off at noon with clear sky and bright sun at around 72 degrees. The Monday number of players was below the current ‘normal’ since mid-June is the first day of covid 19 stores/offices reopening. Which was fine with me since there was a significantly reduced waiting time for the few other players to clear the green. It was a fun time playing on a nice course- only one disappointment- the only deer I saw(50 feet away on edge of course tree line) was a doe-I really like seeing bucks!

Slow
They do a poor job of spacing out the tee times. I have golfed here 4 times now and have yet to make it 18 holes in less than 5 hours.. It is excruciatingly slow pace of play and it seems like the regulars that play there don’t have a care in the world about letting anyone play through or moving along.

A great course for straight and long hitters. Two groups in front of our foursome was 2-3 holes back the entire day which made it a 5 hour round for a <6500 yard course. However, the best greens in Fairfax County too include the some private course in which I play.
