Getting there
Iron Wolf is getting back to its original glory. This is a former Arnold Palmer design course that got destroyed by the last owners. It now consists of 6 par 3's, 6 par 5's and 6 par 4's…par 70. The course needs some jigging to get rid of a couple of the 3's…and get it back to a par 72. The course is in overall good shape. Greens are fast…tee boxes and fairways have grass. Staff is super friendly. Pace of play is a bit slower than usual but not too bad.
Nice nice
Fun layout good sand traps and overall condition and quality
Great Range
The new driving range is spectacular and very fun. Course is in decent shape but greens are too soft for my liking. Need to be rolled so the ball rolls. Still a fun course although slightly over priced
Great golf and great staff
Everyone was super helpful and friendly.
Golf was great
Aggravated
Online booking through golf now. Price wasn't right and was getting over charged. Twilight rates don't coincide. Got there early to check in and hit range balls. Was advised they just closed the range to pick so I couldn't loosen up. They said they don't have a covered ball picker, so the people playing and paying are inconvenienced because they don't have a covered ball picker. LAME. Provide the paying customer proper amenities. I'll think twice next time before I play this course. Later.
Iron wolf lake Havasu
Very nice course. l loved the course layout. Early in the year so grass was dormant in rough. Fairways were green and the Greens were in good shape.
Not good shape
They keep raising the price and had priced out of playing there but i figured i try again to see if maybe it was worth it. Absolutely not! Fairways were rough and inconsistent greens were just ok. Average course at best, nice amenities, staff was good but the price tag just too high now. I know a lot of people here in Havasu that use to play there a few times a week and now have been priced out. Too bad.
Not what it once was
Played this 20+ years ago when it first opened. It was a very nice course then, but after several ownership changes, it is not what it once was. Too bad, it has the potential to be nice again.
Not what it used to be
Played this course when it first opened years ago. It has changed names and owners a couple of times, at least. Tee boxes were ok and the fairways were yellow. The greens were 40% green, 40% yellow, and 20% sand. Sand traps were excellent. I have never played a course with 7 par threes and only 6 par fours. The staff were extremely pleasant and made me feel welcome. Unfortunately, I will not play this course again.
