Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club
About
Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club offers the traditional links course reminiscent of those found in the British Isles, situated amidst Virginia's horse country. The club gets its name from the land's former use, a raspberry field. The scenic terrain overlooks to Catoctin Mountains and there are still a few raspberry bushes dotting the course. By far the layout's most formidable challenges come from the deep, stacked pot bunkers that make it truly feel like a classic Scottish golf course. There are also water hazards on a few holes. The course's signature is the par-4 third hole, which is long but plays downhill all the way. The 10th hole, another par 4, is one of the toughest. The landing area is generous off the tee but there is a creek and pond to the left and fairway bunkers on the right.

One of the best courses in Northern California. I recommend playing here.
Great Value
This is a gorgeous course, well designed, challenging but encouraging at the same time. It rained heavily for hours two days before we played but the course was in surprisingly good condition. Greens were running a bit slow and the bunkers became water hazards. We had a group behind us that were frustrated so they began hitting into us. They were unaware that we were waiting on a group in front of us, but it didn't bother us. We had cold beers, most of the time. We could have benefitted from seeing the beverage cart another time.
Great experience - always a good round here
Hadn't played in a couple of years, but good to visit again on Mothers Day. Not much traffic early. Course in good shape and challenging as always. All of the staff were great and attentive to any requests. Ron was starter and extremely friendly. Greens were a touch slower than I recalled, but we had decent rains the day before. Cart path only slowed the round down a little bit.
Great NoVA Course
This is far and away one of the best public courses in the area. Challenging layout for more advanced players but still friendly to less skilled folders. I always have a great time playing Raspberry Falls.
Great layout
One of the best tracks around ! Great deals for twilight golf on a high end course .
Great Sunday afternoon.
As imagined, the course is great shape as it is. The day i visited had a big outing on golf channel, then the starting time was 15 minutes late. They offered me $20 discounted price, finally I understood why they mitigated discounted price. We could make 18 holes at last, after close to 5 hours to play. The green was nice and fairway is excellent condition as usual. Only regret was No 18 tee could not be used. I will be back in the near future.
You Must Play Raspberry Falls
This course is in excellent condition. The fairways were green and plush. The greens were fast and true. The holes were challenging but fair. Overall, I will continue to play this course when I can get a deal through Golf Now since the green fees are a bit pricy.
Great layout
In pretty good shape, but just hope it holds up with all the traffic/play.
Another great experience....
Outstanding day. Masters Sunday, good friends, and a great course. The conditions were great considering the winter we had. Greens rolled true and fast.
Great course
Great course in great shape. Very challenging greens.
Excellent course
I have played this course for many years and it is one of the best courses in the area. It is well-maintained, challenging, and the staff is friendly.
Very nice
Both carts died during round. Think some things are getting a little run down.
Great Value!
Are you kidding me!,...6 days after a 10" snowfall, 70 degrees, I can't understate how playable the course was for Mar 22nd. Best value dollar for dollar I may spend all season!
excellent course
supper fast greens for winter. They want cart path only for winter rules.
Have played the course many times since it's initial opening and found the experience unchanged..Excellent in every respect.
Raspberry Falls is a course every avid golfer should experience.
Extremely friendly staff, great layout and always in great condition.
Beautiful scenic views of mountains, farms and Loudoun County.
For a real treat try the back tees on holes #3 and #18. A real golfing challenge and SCENIC VIEWS.11/21/13
Excellent course
We'll maintained course. Excellent service. Nice practice facility.Nice layout. For the money they ask for I expected carts with club cleaners and gps. I guess the focus there is on the service. Range balls are included in the price. Pro shop is very nice. The course was fun. Lots of long, open fairways provide the chance to crush the ball off the tee. I really enjoyed the back 9.
Some beautiful holes but very slow and expensive
They push way too many groups out too close together. This play is horribly slow and bad course management. $59 for a 12:43 start and no way to finish 18. We got to 14 and too dark to finish so 4.5 hours for 14 holes
Awesome
Place was in great conditions. Greens were SLICK which made it a fun challenge to land the ball near the hole. Fairways and greens were great! A few tee boxes from the tips were patchy but most tee boxes were great. Links style play. I'm playing here again this week this place was one of my favorites of the year. If you find a deal on this it's THE BEST VALUE for your money. I don't know how this course doesn't have 5 stars all around
Great design and Layout. Poor condition.
Very poor condition. Needs significant Turf Management. Greens in poor shape. Bunkers inconsistent sand/clay. Natural grass areas loaded with dead weeds.
Paying for the Location and Design is OK, but for $70 a round, should have been in much better condition.
Raspberry Falls is touted as one of the best courses in the area. Seems to live up to this ranking. Beautiful vistas from hole 2 and 3.
Played late on Sunday 10/27/13, beautiful day, course is in good shape. Greens in good shape. Some holes have deep bunkers so try to stay away from that hazard. You have to play this course just to say you were there at least once. You will probably come back if you can. Somewhat expensive. I will come back for a 4th visit.
