Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club
About
Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club offers the traditional links course reminiscent of those found in the British Isles, situated amidst Virginia's horse country. The club gets its name from the land's former use, a raspberry field. The scenic terrain overlooks to Catoctin Mountains and there are still a few raspberry bushes dotting the course. By far the layout's most formidable challenges come from the deep, stacked pot bunkers that make it truly feel like a classic Scottish golf course. There are also water hazards on a few holes. The course's signature is the par-4 third hole, which is long but plays downhill all the way. The 10th hole, another par 4, is one of the toughest. The landing area is generous off the tee but there is a creek and pond to the left and fairway bunkers on the right.

Raspberry Falls GC
Amazing course. Best in the area! Friendliness staff around.
Great Course!
Great course from tee to fairway. Great pace of play.
This course has great character.
Great practice facility
Large and fast greens
Varied terrain with uphill and downhill tee shots
Challenging black tees near 7200 yds
Great practice facility and the course layout is spectacular
This is a must play course. Very fair but also challenging
This course is always in great shape
Raspberry falls is perhaps the best golf course in northern Virgina. The course is always in pristine condition, great value for the money. Raspberry falls has perhaps the best staff of any facility that I have visited. These guys are very accommodating, they will do whatever is needed to get you on the course. Lastly, great food, give the the tuna sandwich a try.
Beautiful scenery and well maintained.
Beautiful course and scenery. Range balls included, staff extremely friendly.
Great Course
I love playing Raspberry Falls. The course was in great shape. Played as a single and finished my round in 2.5 hours.
Still a great venue.
Played 7/12/13 for the first time in several years. The clubhouse atmosphere brought back warm memories. From the original artwork to the antique golf clubs, to the dark wood paneled walls and the stuffed fox over the large fireplace with a golf ball in its mouth. Conditions were soggy after a record rainfall in June and continued rains in July, but drainage was good enough (aside from ponding in some traps) and the greens, although slower than usual, were still fast enough and very true. Cart path only due to the conditions, but still finished in less than 4 hours. Well trained and courteous staff. Raspberry Falls remains one of the top courses in the region available to the public.
A course I would play every day and enjoy
This course has a fantastic layout, some splendid views and several spectacular holes(4,10,15 and 18). Very well maintained, except for some of the bunkers, but with the deep bunkering design, this is very difficult. Elevation changes and well shaped fairways encourage you to select clubs carefully and shape your shots. The course will run you through every club in your bag. The greens are well designed for each hole.
Great round spoiled by rain
This course is alwaya in great shape great vies love the 9th hole par 5. Unfortunatly rains came before we could play more then 8.
Looking forward to playing some time soon
Did Not Live up to the Hype
I had read many reviews about Raspberry Falls and could not wait to play it. Although there were some very pretty holes and some elevated tees made it unique I was a bit disappointed at the shape of the greens (people are not fixing the ball marks), the tee boxes -not in great condition, and the fairways(dried out in many areas), the bunkers were not in good shape and the one on number one had bees nested everywhere in them. So much so that my partners could not play out of that bunker. The people were super friendly and the course marshall was very good about checking on us and getting us cold wet towels, but the course did not (for me anyway) live up to its billing. I drove over 40 miles to play here, but it is unlikely that I will return. I would recommend it for a person who lived closer, just as a one time experience.
Course is fantastic
Clean, friendly, and welcoming!!! Course is extremely well maintained. Would recommend to anybody for play.
Solid
Above avg DC metro course. Great views unique holes. Greens were fast but a little torn up...good range...starter Dan is a stickler
Excellent!
Beautiful course on. Great piece of land. Varied holes. Greens excellent speed and shape. Great facility.
Great course, great location
This is one of the nicest courses in NOVA. Hard to pay $100 for a round, but with the golfnow value, it's certainly worth $70-$80. Great Gary Player layout, challenging speedy greens. Just visually relaxing regardless of how you are playing.
Beautiful setting
The layout of the course is varied and at times challenging with some pothole-like bunkers, and overall that variety makes it fun. The overall surrounding country and the course itself are beautiful; there are not too many developments imposing on the natural beauty of the countryside. The back-up was not bad, but just under 5 hours is a little slow. All-in-all it's a fun golfing experience.
Course is well maintained and scenic
Enjoyed Raspberry Falls course. Course was well maintained and overall very nice. The greens rolled well and were in good condition...though I did find myself fixing a lot of pitch marks...may have been from the tournament earlier in the day. Holes 3 and 18 were particularly scenic as they were elevated tee shots through a bit of a chute. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Great course, great staff and great practice facility.
I have always loved this course and the staff are super friendly and helpful.
Worth the drive and money!
Incredible course. You really get what you pay for with this one. The view on 18 is, as advertised, amazing. Tons of fun and drains very well (we went the day after rain in the area).
I hear it can get crowded on nice days but due to the previous day's rain and that day's forecast we lucked out and were able to fully enjoy the course at our own pace.
Great layout
Great place to play. They had a group tournament, and it was a long day. They should consider having marshal to keep everyone moving. “While we are young…”
