Magnolia/Dogwood at TimberCreek Golf Club

Friendly folks. Course is one of the best design and layout with big old growth trees surrounding the course. Will play again.

After a pleasant round here in January, I was excited to come back. I don’t know what happened in a 2 month span but the greens went from 7/10 to 1/10. Barely playable. Probably the worst part of the day was the poor service. We were ignored at the bar both before the round and at the turn, and only saw the beverage cart one time all day. Went to get something from the vending machine out on the course and it was broken. The golf carts were also in very bad shape. Unless I hear that these issues have been fixed down the road, I will not return.

Most greens had no grass at all and were very poor. The rest of the course was in good condition but the greens condition made it not worth the money I paid.

This is a nice course except for the greens. They should be scraped up and replaced. Golf ball looks like a pin ball on the way to the hole. I booked this round on GolfNow for $21.89. My wife wanted to ride with me, so I took her along. I then had to pay $22.00 for her to ride in the cart. WHAT A RIPOFF! I already had a cart and they made me pay an extra $22 for my wife to ride with me. I was not very happy. I thought when I booked a round through GolfNow, it included a cart. I payed more for my wife to ride along with me than I paid for the round of golf... Go Figure...

The staff was super friendly. They were very appreciative of us coming to play their course.

I have used golf now several times at different courses and was never treated this good.

Decided to do a golfing trip with my brothers in Alabama. We’ve never been, but we wanted to play courses within an hours driving distance from Gulf Shores. We chose TimberCreek GC and we were not disappointed! The course was well kept, had a great layout, and the staff was AWESOME! I will definitely be coming back next time I golf in Alabama.

The course was poorly marked so it was difficult to know distances and where to go. The pace of play was slow until the 14th hole where we found 2 groups on the tee and 2 on the fairway. Decided to drive in and passed a number of groups waiting. No marshal found and it was mostly twosomes

Greens are horrible

Driving range small and irons only, no grass

Chipping area small

Putting green condition a little better than course

Bunkers have rocks and red clay in them

There better courses to play in the area for cheaper

Will not play there again.

I gave the course conditions a 3 based on other courses I've played around Spanish Fort. I liked the course layout (except for 1-2 brutal pin placements) some greens were spottier than others but will have to see if the dormant grass grows completely back in. Pace of play was a little slow. I will play it again as I like the layout and thing that when the weather promotes grass to grow then it should be much better.

This course has 3 nines but they only use two at a time. They allow 5somes (unheard of where I come from). The pace of p[ay was VERY slow. No marshall to move groups along and no one lets you play through. Seems golf etiquette here is non-existent. Players taking practice putts after the hole was over, making us in the fairway wait. They going to their carts and chat while writing in all the scores instead of leaving and putting them on the card at the next tee box. The layout is good but the greens are in need of help.

Is a strategic course so think about every shot placement. Good course and friendly staff that makes you feel welcome and they appreciate my business

Condition what you would expect for February. Good to get out on a 70 degree day. Fairways thin, greens under maintenance

The layout was nice. That being said. I felt the greens were terrible. They were sanded. and uneven. They lacked consistency, and and would not roll true!

I played the pines and at the turn to play Magnolia, there we were two slow foursomes on the tee box for my tenth hole. Evidently they started new groups on my back nine as I was the first of the day to finish my first nine. No one should have been in my way. Took 15 minutes to tee off on my tenth. Disappointed.
