Beautiful
Beautiful course. Greens in great shape. Had my best game ever. Clubhouse has good food and amenities. Beverage cart girl was amazing. Very attentive and friendly. A real stunner to look at too.
Beautiful
Course was in great shape. The greens were very friendly as was the beverage girl.
Great layout
Really like the layout of the Dogwood and Pines. The clubhouse and grounds are beautiful and well kept. Staff friendly. Pace of play slow on account of the group I front of us. For a Monday I would not have expected that. If you want to play slow that’s fine but let smaller faster groups play through.
The greens are really disappointing. I’m rather taken aback that a place of this caliber would have such poor condition on their greens. They may want to consider replacing them one course at a time; they are that bad.
The rest of the course traits will bring me back though.
Terrible Greens Condition
Play this course a lot. I live in the neighborhood. They have lost their greens back in late winter and haven’t recovered. Should drop price until his is resolved. Still a good course
Good layout
I like playing here because it offers a good value. The number of tee boxes let’s players of many abilities be offered chances to enjoy the game.
Not in good shape
Lots of crab grass on the greens. All fairways aerated. Practice tee grass really bare.
Greens and fairways
The green are very poor for this time of year.
The fairways are sparse too. I have played here several times in past years and this is usually in very good to excellant shape. I will wait a month or two and try it then hopefully they will have it back to a more playable condition.
See improvements since last year, greens still need work.
Recommended
Staff is exceptionally friendly. I had to play Magnolias twice because of a tourney on the other courses. The layout is really cool. The greens need work. Facilities very clean, nice clubhouse and bar. I’ll be a regular.
Poor Experience
I was down in th area on business and had some extra time for a quick round. Based on the reviews I chose Timber Creek, but after experiencing 9 holes of bare fairways and weed infested greens I stopped. This was truly an example of “you get what you paid for”. I would not recommend this track.
Great Place - Friendly Staff
Can't remember when I felt more welcome at a course.
Pro was very engaging and working along with his crew. Course was fun to play, beautiful and challenging and in good shape.
Beautiful scenery. Great landscape. Looks good. Slow play, though. Two old men in front of me were turtles (very slow). The course is great, but I was waiting on the 1st tee and waiting often later. I was a single, and my 18 hole round was nearly 4 hours. Good driving range, but range balls cost extra. Good practice putting green, and a good area to practice chipping, sand shots, and pitching near the putting green. In fact, 2 practice putting greens are at TimberCreek. I like that I could walk the course. I commend TimberCreek for allowing walkers. Joe in the pro shop was nice and helpful. Thanks, Joe.
Nice course. Wrong day
Nice course but first 9 followed a lot of people playing a scramble. Second 9 much better pace never play as well waiting on every tee box. But still i liked the course and fun to play
An excellent course overall
We had played before but since the drive is nearly an hour, we hesitated, but were able to get a Hot Deal so we took the challenge. It was well worth the drive. It is an older course set among pricey homes but the design and conditions have stood the test of time. Fairways were just fine or Alabama winter and greens were fast and had some character to them. We will play again during our visit this year.
Great value
Especially great rates for those 55 and over (29.00) on Mondays and Tuesdays.
