Pines at Diamondhead Country Club

About
The Pines at Diamondhead Country Club was the first of two 18-hole golf courses built on the property. The semi-private course opened in 1969.
Designed by Earl Stone, the Pines measures 6,817 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 134 and a 73.5 USGA rating. The golf course features four sets of tees for different skill levels.
The major challenges for both courses are their tree-lined fairways. The Pines Course has well-placed bunkers and water that comes into play on many holes.

Course was good some greens were bad no grass
The weather wouldn’t cooperate! Wet ! But finished
Great course, in great shape
Great course layout ,in great shape. All round great experience ,will add this course to my list
One of nicer courses on Gulf Coast
Played Cardinal course. Was in great condition. Greens were excellent. Played with another single and finished within 3 hours with 90 degree rule. The course was soft but not wet with the inch + rain the day before. When in town gambling I try to get a round in on this course. Never disappointed.
Wish I would have played it sooner!
Wish I would have played it sooner! Lady in the pro shop was very friendly. Starter was great and had lots of course “tips” for me. I played the course with a very nice member of the course. He was a great guy. Meet several other members that were very kind.
Great course layout (The Pines). Course was in excellent condition.
I will definitely be back!
Diamondhead Gem
Friendly staff, great check-in at the pro shop! Tee times on schedule, starter gave us some tips on the course since it was our first time playing which were extremely helpful. We played the Pines course, greens were fast and a little tricky to read the slope. Great course layout, some water but lots of strategic placed sand traps. It would have been helpful if the hole layout was posted on the tee block, a few holes weren’t sure if water was in play. Nancy the director sales provided lots of info for future golf group outings, we look forward to returning and playing the Cardinal course.

Staff is very attentive a professional. Courses are always in great shape. After round locations are a must here in a very active 19th hole!
Great place to play
Played the Cardinal course at Diamondhead, MS, the fairways and green were in great shape, (woods and water not so much). Very friendly staff
Nice challenge
First time playing this course in over 20 years. Played the Cardinal course last year and enjoyed it. The Pines course is maybe a little tighter and plays more as a positional course. OB looms and just about every hole, and when conditions are firm, balls may just roll out of bounds, which can be disappointing.
Currently, the par four 12th hole is being worked on, looks like they are resodding the fairway, so it's playing as a par-3 of 150 yards.
Tee boxes and fairways were in nice shape. Greens were outstanding - putting here is a premium because of a lot of movement on the greens which were firm and quick. I thoroughly enjoyed my round here and look forward to returning. It's about an hour drive from my home, but I think it's worth the drive.
