Lomas Santa Fe Executive Golf Course

Overall playing condition was good. The greens rolled true and the areas surrounding the greens were in good shape. The only negative was the condition of the tee boxes. Lots of dirt and sparse weeds. Considering the overall good conditions, this was surprising.

Short exec course. Not much grass on tee boxes. Friendly staff.

My sons and I played late in the day yesterday and were behind a group of four elderly women that were extremely slow. We passed them after the first nine. Oh well. Regarding the condition of the golf course though, the greens had marks from the tires of the mowers which is unfortunate; Sprinkler heads need to be changed or added to cover many large dry spots in the golf course; edging and weed whipping needs to be done along the cart paths and vertical items, Blow the cart paths off at least every two weeks or so. Ball marks on the greens are a problem as well as you can imagine with mostly 100 yard holes. Sand them. Anyway, I enjoy playing this course but it could be so much nicer! With not a lot of additional time or money.

Can't beat the fee on Sunday afternoon.

I go with open mind because it's a executive course in the north county. Especially when you go on weekends. Always great experience. Layout, Staff, Weather, Conditions (not perfect but fair) Easy to Walk Always consistent with meeting expectations.Will return for sure.

While the cost of play is excellent, the cost of the cart was crazy expensive. Lomas Santa Fe clearly does not care about handicapped players. We will never play again unless they reduce the cart fee by a lot.

My wife and I enjoyed a 21/2 hour round greens were good fairways a little soggy pace of play was exceptional!

Having lived in Solana Beach, Del Mar for 50 years, I’ve played this course many times. However today it was pretty rough. The head greenskeeper needs to have more pride in the way the golf course looks. There are irrigation dry spots and bogs everywhere. The tee boxes are atrocious! None of them are flat. Some are really bad. Barely any grass on them either. It just requires someone who cares more. Maybe their head guy has been there forever and is complacent. But this location in this beautiful climate could be spectacular! And they could probably get more money for their Golf. But it’s not. I’m sure the main course doesn’t look like this because the members wouldn’t tolerate it. Show some pride!
